from about 50-100 roll had him by a fender and I was still pullin...he had an intake, exhaust, pulley, and tune from what one of my friends that know him said.

I probs coulda done alot better if i woulda pulled it down into second instead of third but I was still laughin..it was my first kill so im 1 for 1 lol

Definitely a respectable kill. I'm not familiar with your car at all, but it sounds like its running pretty ****ing well to do that in the wrong gear. I'm pretty sure those cars are pretty damn fast for a little 4 cyl 4 door fart cart when they're pullied.

this race would've been even worse from a dig. I drove a s/c cobalt a few months ago. If you needed a fwd daily, it'd be a fun little car.

But, I was at a stop sign at a T intersection making a left. I don't know if this one had the limited slip diff or not, but I don't think it would've mattered. Anyway, I smashed the throttle, dumped the clutch, turned the wheel left and went STRAIGHT. :laughing: Almost into the guardrail I was laughing so hard. I left off, got a little corrected, got back on it again and it lit up like a dragster right into the rev-limiter. It's a beautiful little mess of a car. :thmbsup:

I don't consider a Cobalt SS a ricer car, Ricer cars are foreign cars like Honda, Nissan, and Mazda in my book.

Think about it a Cobalt SS is no different than a 1986 Mustang SVO, both cars are small displacement engines with a turbo.

Hey guys ...sorry it took so long for me 2 get back to this thread... but to answer some questions...my stang is an 02 GT with 3.23 gears and jus the mods i listed in the opening post. and as for those who want to flame me about starting the post...I know im not setting the world on fire by beating a cobalt ss lol If i thought i was really kickin ass out there whoopin on 4cyl rice poppers wouldnt I be just as bad if not worse than 99% of the ricer population? lol Im jus out there havin a good time, which is what bein a muscle car guy is all about right? Theres no need to bust anyones balls.....unless they think a v-tec sticker adds 100+ hp lol Oh...I almost forgot...from a looks point of view the cobalts in any trim are fugly lol If I had to pick any 4cyl to drive it would be a neon srt 4 or if I had the money an Evo... most likely I'll never have either one cuz it wouldnt be nearly as much fun as a stang or any other muscle car in my opinion.

One of my friends works at the local ford/chevy garage (odd dealer combo huh?) and they just got in a new 08 or 09 turbo version...we cracked the hood and he revved it a few times...the valve train and jus motor in general didnt sound good...it sounded like the timing sprockets had about 3 teeth a piece on em lol

Yeah, Tony is a cool dude, and the car runs strong for being bone stock... 14.1 @ quaker... which should be a high 13 at prp no problem.

That shouldnt have happened even stock but should never happen now that you have the tuner you got from Ed.
It doesnt take much to put the 3v cars into the 12's.

yeah i was bone stock, he had intake headers exhaust and a chip.

Not to start a flame fest, but most light bolt -on & streetable geared 05 + are running 13's. Different tracks & drivers make big differences as with any car's, but new gen GT's are not rocketships. Evan Smith also got a bone stock Mach 1 to a 12.8, but I'm sure we could all agree that's not a common time for stock Mach's
