I made 7 hp more after adding stage 2 Patriots heads and the also added 2* of timing and ran 200 rpms higher. This was a 515 hp supercharged car. They got some of the low rpm cruising miss out at tuners but that is about it. Also I'm sorry I went with the bullets. Head is ringing after the 200 mile trip,
Saying I'm disappointed is an understatement. I have spent thousands off dollars to ruin what was a nice car.
F*ck!!!

Hate to say it but, maybe send them out to fox lake or something and get them ported. Maybe they can massage the flaws out.

WOW, sorry to hear man! Us GM guys have done great with Patriot, but i've definitely heard some good and bad about them among the Ford crew...

There is nothing more frustrating than to invest time, effort and money only to realize minimal gains on a mod. I feel for ya, man.
Was there a difference in peak boost pressure with the new heads?

I don't know squat about modulars and I could have told you that Patriot sucks! I've heard nothing but bad things about these guys.
Send them to TEA and see what they can do with them over this winter.
Sorry to hear about your big money mishap.
Always do tons and tons of research on products before purchasing big money items.
Good luck to you!:goodidea:

well, the heads are huge!!! the ports look awesome and the combustion chambers are dead on, but the car still is only making 13-14 lbs even with these heads on, so i am kinda thinking we need to think about an aftermarket intake and an inovators west lower pulley for some added boost...

Good thinking Tim. If the boost hasn't changed yet the ports are much larger then there is defintitely a restriction somewhere else and the heads might not be as bad off as they appear at the moment.
Good luck Jive!

I was reading somewhere that with a new head setup and extra's it is possible to make less boost but more power. Although his 7hp gain doesn't go along with what I read.

that is one of the reasons that I retired from racing. I would get so frustrated by adding this or that only to run the same or slower. Anyway, I hope you get things sorted out Jive.

Well I ordered some new goodies hoping to make more boost. A 7.5" ATI 10% overdrive Harmonic dampner (aka crank pulley) and Vortechs 8 rib pulley uprgrade with the manual tension provision and their 2.75" SC pulley. The 6 rib slips a little. I'm hoping to go from 13 psi to about 16-17, but 19 would be cool too lol.
I called Gunner at Patriot and asked why I gained only 7hp. He said there was a 27* diff in temps that day and my tuner uses standard numbers.
He says if I up the boost I'll see a nice difference. The ports were huge compared to the stockers.
I have to admit despite the heat the car feels strong almost like it does in cooler weather.

If you've got the short block and supercharger to handle it(which it seems like you do) there's no reason not to run more than 13 PSI :awsome: Good luck, look forward to seeing what kind of #'s you get with more boost. Just curious, are you running the stock tranny? My brother might be getting a 99-04 GT soon and I'm just wondering what the stock tranny can handle.
