How many 2.3's?

Some of us where talking at TnT Wednesday when a random 2.3 conversion showed up. We where speculating on how many 2.3 Turbo cars we could get together from this area to race, We came up with about 10 that would race, and then a few other cars as well. Lets get a tally of who's in the 2.3 Turbo Mafia ;) Membership cards to come later :biglaugh:

There seems to be a good number in the area.

I have my 84 Capri (RS Turbo car)
Shaun and his dad are two (Both swapped notches)
Franks has 83 TC, and the SVO although the SVO is not "in"
Troy has the SVO
Don has a swap notch (I think he still has it).
Mike (Map) has the Pinto
Jan (actually his son) has a 2.3 powered Celica.
The hatch that shoped up at PRP Wednesday (If any of you are on here, sorry I didn't get your names).
There is a TC out of WV that we might be able to nudge up here, but is a member here ;)
I know of another swap happening in an early model Mustang, then add in the ones at your place, A few randoms drivers, etc that we know about, plus a few out there in secret (yeah, I know what you bought ;) )

I think there are 9-10 that we could get to the track at one time right now, or very soon, with a few more in the works.

I think you would be hard pressed to find another 75 mile radius with this many 2.3 Turbo's

Not sure on that one. Are you sure is was Gray, and not black with the gray trim as is typical? Steve had is 26K original SVO out yesterday. Oh wait, you provable saw it at Irwin anyway, so would know.

Indeed, the Celica was back. Ran a 12.7X last night on the Nitto's and confused a lot of people. I think next time it;s back it will be on ET Streets :D

Troy usually brings something else to the track along with a better excuse, then when he does bring the SVO, he launches off idle :D :D

Shaun is STILL swapping rears on his :D :D :D

Shaun's Dad's car is coming together and should be there next spring, I have hope there.

We arent even going to talk about MAP's driveway cruiser :D :D :D :D

And Jan works shifts and is hard to pin down :D :D :D :D :D

Yes, I'm there every weekend, and about half the test and tunes, although this weekend is the last for the year for me (work commitments).

No! You must wait for the books to be opened again to be "made" into the 2.3 mafia. Someday, we might ask for a favotr, and if you respond in kind we can talk ;) 4.6 does not equal having two 2.3 either unless you unplug 4 coils.

Although cool in it's own right, TT Cobra still won't cut it. 2.3 cars are forced upon their owners and become a curse we all must bear. To understand, you have to live it first, then you will get it :D :D :D

there is this little smirk we all get when we drive one for the first time, then we KNOW you are sucked in. I've seen the look several times, and there just inst much cure beyond more boost :D

You are a dilema for us ;) The only guys as cheap as the Turbo Ford crowd is the turbo Dodge crowd. (not an insult, actualyl a badge of honor). If you where a 2.2 Turbo I or Turbo II guy you would be in by default :D Not sure what to make of the skittles. What you do have going for you is running high boost like us. :highfive:

Yea my 11.89 pass was on 24psi breaking up in 4th, the rest of my runs were 12.1 on 23psi and a 12.3 pass on drag radials! Working on getting the bugs out right now, and looking to run 28psi on racegas with a lot of timing via the stage 3 pcm :thmbsup:

84 Turbo Coupe gets you in automatically "IF" you get it running. The agrivation you are going to go through with that one will earn your way in ;)
