My wife and I have been looking at the Ford Edge for a while now. We have our first kid on the way and we are thinking about buying a SUV.
Does anyone own an Edge on here? I want to hear what other people have to say about it.
I test drove one and it rides like a car.
Thanks,
Tim

We have one. Gets good gas milage, good power, and rides great. No complaints so far. I know Wick on here has one as well.
We have one. Loaded minus the navigation. Black with black leather. For a family its nice. Has the vista roof that my 5 month old son likes to look out of. It does have its issues though. The chrome wheels/caps peeled with only 3,000 miles, the A/C compressor blew apart with 400 miles on it. It has developed a clicking noise on the drivers front wheel since the wheel replacement. Overall though its nice and VERY roomy!!!

My wife and I have one. We, too, got it loaded with everything except nav (we know where we are going). We had the issue with the chrome wheels pitting but we had them replaced under warranty and, supposedly, there was an issue with these wheels but has since been rectified. I swear the new ones are chromer (if that is such a word). It is a great car -nice looks, room, power, MPG. I honestly could not think of another vehicle we would want for our needs (two kids) at this price range.

I have an SEL+ with nav, vista roof, etc. I LOVE it. I've gotten 24mpg on the highway, but around town its usually in the 17-18mpg range. My chrome wheels are shot too and I'm supposed to take it in soon to have them replaced as the clear on the polished lip is all pitted and ruined.

I've been looking at the Mazda CX-7, maybe you could take that into consideration as well.

when did this website become Steelcityedges.com? :rotflol:
Paul,
It seems to me that the new wheels look to be a better quality than the original ones.
Nothing changed. They are still the same ole shitty plastic that was on there when the car was new. They just appear to be better because you are not looking at some peeling and lifting chrome. Trust me, in a year, these will do the same thing.
