hey guys im having problems trying to get my 5.0 to stop searching for a idle and stalling. its far from stock and the motor is very fresh. it has a dss 331 stoker kit along with trickflow street kit top end. i put 30 pound injectors and im getting a mass air flow sensor in on friday thats calibrated to the 30 pound injectors, but i dont think thats gonna cure my idle problem. i know its gotta be my computer but i called street lethal preformance for a tune but they want me to go to SCT to get a chip burnt(i think its mail order deal but not sure) and i really dont know where else to go.
so can u plz help me out!
Get a tune!!! Dont do mail order!!!
SCT isnt mail order either. Its a custom chip for your application obtained by a proper technician on a dyno.

What mass air are you getting? I hope its not a C&L or your in for even more headaches. Also, a "calibrated" MAF in a 94-95 is a bad idea... you can do it but it can cause all sorts of issues because the 94-95's unlike the 93-older stangs use the MAF sensor voltage, TPS, and a few other sensors to determine engine load. Load is used in the timing and fuel tables to determine the correct amount of each. Its best to find a tuner that understands that and have them alter your MAF transfer function to get the car EEC and not the MAF matched to the inectors. WHat cam are you using? Cams and calibrated MAF sensors both lead to unhappy 94-95's until they are tuned. The good news is that our EEC's are way faster than the old A9l's found in the older fox's. Do not let anyone tell you that you need to swap in a 93-older EEC either as that is just a bandaid fix that will more than likely need a chip as well. Its a cop-out for tuners who don't know what they are doing and that are lazy.
Sorry bud. I was dealing with my 5 month old son. HAHAHA Locally there isnt really much. I personally choose SGS automotive for mine. They are about 3 hours away. In my eyes they are the best. There are so many other opinions though. They just did mine on June 6th. I cant be happier.

its a granatelli maf and the lift on the cam is 499 intake and 510 exhaust, duration is 275 intake and 279 exhaust

What is the duration at 50 and what is the LSA? I ran a Granatelli calibrated meter for years with no real problems, but mine from the days when they were made for granatelli by pro-m.

I've been going to SGS since they opened on aback country road many moons ago and Dave Guy definitely knows his stuff. That is also where I'd take it if it was me.

Sounds like you have a trickflow stage 1 cam. Correct? Thats the same one I have in mine with a blower. My car ran like crap up to the morning of June 6. when the tune was done at 10:00, it was a totally different car!!!!!!!!!! I had driveability, great idle and an annoyingly loud blower noise. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

HAHAHA Anytime Mark. HAHAHAHA You wont be dissapointed!!!!! Traction does become an issue in a few of the gears though.

well i got the maf in and the car runs alot better but now the alternator isnt charging at all. go figure!!!
