Ive been telling myself that I am not going to buy anymore "new" vehicles for a while, but I keep reading about all these good deals in the newspapers and it started to make me think about trading in my Ranger for a F150 SuperCrew. I just looked at one that stickered for 35k and I can buy it for 22k. My Ranger only has 40XXX miles on it and I actually really like it, but it is a 5spd and my girl can't drive it plus you can only haul two people, can't tow a car, and I only have a single lane driveway and it makes parking a hassle since she cant move it. I guess I was just wondering if anyone has a new 08 SuperCrew F150 and what they think of it. Ive alsways been a fan of the F150's but have actually never drove one...

I had an 06 SuperCrew and over all it was a nice truck. Pros- awesome interior and great ride Cons- under powered gas hog 13-14 city or highway. Never thought this would happed but it did, I just traded a Ford truck in on a new Toyota Tundra and I'm glad I did 387 hp 15 city 22 highway so far 2500 miles. Just my 2 cents :goodidea:

i just got a 07 f150 4x4 and i love it so far. ive been gettin around 17 mpg with a bone stock 5.4L so i know theres room for improvement(cai, exhaust). really great truck. not a fan of the imports so you should look into them, but i dont think you can go wrong with the f150

I just bought an 05 F-150 ext. cab fx4 and i love it!!! great ride...16-18mpg. The electronic throttle response sucks but with a chip it goes away and you really feel the power! all in all im a ford guy and i would recommend it to anyone who wants the looks..power and descent mpg for that size of a truck!

ya they are going cheap man my dad just got an 08 ext cab f-150 with the 4.6L for a little over 20k, fully loaded, leather and he also told them to install a bed liner, rear sliding glass window, running boards, and a bug sheild for free and they did, so far he likes it, no complaints yet

I've had an 05 and now have an 08 & love it. only advice I have is make shure to get 5.4 & factory towing pkg. (with towing pkg. you get a sterling 10.5 rear with out you get an 8.8 they work great in our cars but you will break an 8.8 in an F150, had 6 of them at my last job & ever one of them ended up having to get them replaced aprox. once a year.) & go with 3.55 gears instead of 3.73's ( took my 08 to columbus for swap meet this spring & got very close to 20 mpg. with my 3.55's) other than that you cant go wrong with an F150 imo.

My buddy has a 06 crew cab. Fully loaded with the 5.4. He thougtht he power was decent but he got a tune via the SCT tuner. He said it feels like a different truck with more power and better mpg. He loves that truck. Stay away from the camshaft breaking toyotas.

I believe they fixed the camshaft issues in the toyotas, they had outsourced a batch of camshafts and the recall on the trucks for the cams was to fix the problem with new camshafts. I like the f-150 but a friend has one of the new toyotas and I have to say that thing is nice.
