I think I'm heading up tonight with the car. I just switched a few parts and need to work on my tune as it feels slower now. :( I think my timing is off, but I need something like the track to measure the changes I make. I'm not going to run anything special in terms of times tonight as I'm not removing any weight and I'm running on my normal street tires, I'm just going for the sake of tuning.
Anyone else going?

I will be there. Not sure if I'm making passes or hanging out yet but look for the Black Capri.

Well that was an interesting night. Best starting line I have seen in awhile as it flat out hooked. Then the blue late model vette that decided to do a John Force style full track burnout. Loses it near 1000' almost eating right guard rail only to spin around shoot across other lane going in front of car in other lane missing it somehow. Again spinning then nailing guardrail rear end first dead on square only to bounce off it. Debris and glass all over. Other car she was able to swerve into right lane to avoid collision. Her husband was a little jacked but seemed calm.
It was only the calm before the storm. I'd say 15 minutes go by before all hell broke loose. Not sure how it started but it became about a 50 man brawl almost. Envolving someone and friends of vette driver/driver himself. Lots of yelling swearing, few swings thrown, lots of people trying to seperate and thats when it went south.
Safe to say driver of vette has a life time ban of track.
Gotta say good job being a douche and wrecking the vette showing off. Well deserved. Coulda killed someone:thumbsdown:

me and my g/f were there in her pink fox and got a new best of 12.3x but anyhow me and my buddies were making fun of the idiot in the vette. he was trying to do his burnout with the traction control on or something because it wouldnt even break the tires, it just bogged. he obviousily couldnt drive, prob his daddys car. i left right before it happened but ran into someone that was there later that night and they told me what happened. they told me the vette damn near hit a black mustang and smashed the wall. it wasnt you bob was it in the capri? i dont remember seeing a black stang

Was not me Rick, it was the white Monte Carlo that was right behind me, or running me a lot of the night (this pass it was behind). The guy's wife was driving.
I missed most of the fun last night. When the wreck happened, I was on the return road, heard it but got back in time to watch the clean up. So then I go to the rtest room, when I get back, the punches where done and it was down to yelling and holding people back.
We lost at least one pass to that BS, maybe more. As Ed said for a TnT the track had bite, heck for a race day it was good. And we got enough passes to REALLY try stuff last night, that BS was a shame.

PRP= Pittsburgh Rumble Park LOL!
You should have seen the Tedesko's throwing down! Those spectators that were fighting REALLY and I mean REALLY pissed of the track officials. I never like to see anybody wreck, but as he was acting like John Force doing a burnout to the 1/8th mile I told Adam (went12's) that the dude was gonna wreck at any moment and then BAM! If you stay in it that long something bad is always going to happen, and its no one's fault other than the driver's.
Right after the throw down poor torqueboxer got DRILLED with a huge ass rock in the arm. He's a big dude but I'm sure that his arn isn't feeling too good today.
Rob- it wasn't a good night. The car was breaking up on me almost all night around 4800-5200rpms. I didn't get a clean pass until my 4th one. I feel something is off in the tune as my best was only a 12.65 at 111mph which is 3-4mph off of what I ran last year. I was in full street trim and on my nittos, but it still should have run at least 114mph. I have timing issues going on that I need to sort out, hopefully the times will fall once I figure out. I had a fun night racing Ares... his car launches HARD out of the hole. My best 60' of the night was a 1.75 but it was on a bad breakup run, my 12.65 had a 1.85 60' if I remember correctly.
For the guys that ran last night, how off were your times and MPH from your best? I know many of you said you were running slower last night. I'm just wondering how much of my lack of trap speed may have been due to the weather.

Rock hit him was from dragster doing a burnout. It was big not sure where it could have been hiding on the dragster to get caught by tires.

That rock was movin pretty good when it hit me. I felt like a real nancy-boy for yelping like that!!
It was fun finally meeting some of you guys. Lots of fun.
I finally ran an 11.70@119 with a 1.73 60' time>>>
The next run I lowered the air pressure in the et streets to 12psi and raised the launch to 4500-5000 rpm BANG!!! Broke the axle on the drivers side>>>
Im looking for a 31 spline carrier if anyone has one and some 95 axles of the same spline.....anyone reading this let me know thanks.

The rocks are a pain on occasion. No shame torquebozer, I'm not little either.... 6 years ago I was back on the bend of the fence in lane 6, took one in the neck, knocked me down. Left a welt that took a week to go away.
Wick, the Saturday bracket program is a good day to bring the kids. With the junior dragster running, it's a pretty good family atmosphere. And, there are some cool shows coming up in the next couple weeks. Supercharged Warriors and Door Jamz next Saturday, Pro Mods on August 16. Don't know how old your son is, but PRP also has a playground for a diversion or during down time.
