Hi everyone, i was a member here for a year or so before the server crash awhile back.
anyway, im from the wilkes-barre/scranton area, have an 86 GT with a worked 331. nothing amazing time wise yet (12.7 @ 113), but with some good traction and a good tune, it should go mid-high 11s next year on motor.

a few pics....

Yeah Nate, I remember you well from stangnet! I did have Rick build my dart sportsman based shortblock and I couldn't be happier with the way he explained everything and treated me. If I had to do it over again I'd absolutely have him do it! His work is TOP notch, I truely concider him an engine BUILDER and not just an assembler like most shops. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking to have a shortblock built. I still haven't aquired all the parts to get it in the car and running, but it will be back on the road come spring 2007. It should be fun, its all internally balanced and has all the good stuff like a 4340 forged scat crank, 4340 forged scat H beam rods with ARP 200 rod bolts. I should be able to rev this thing where ever I see fit! I can't wait!!!

yeah, Rick is a hell of a guy. There have been times on the phone that i have had to have him slow down a bit and remember that im not a master mechanic like he is :o

yeah, i would love a Dart block, but i might try to find an unused R block second hand to try and save some money. I have to talk to Rick first and see if its gonna be worthwhile for what I want. I am more than happy with my motor, but will be much happier with my times when i get more traction and a built rear with ET streets on it.

next best thing is a mexican, you can pick em up on ebay for 200-300$ then have the machine shop add 4 bolt caps, under a grand for everything, my .02$
