From the PRP website this morning. The entrance will be further east up Stone Jug on 22.
Attention all Racers and spectators! Penn Dot will be
performing work on US RT 22 and Stone Jug Road. Our
Normal entrance will be closed. The closing will be from
Monday August 11, 2008 till Tuesday August 19, 2008.
Penn Dot will provide an alternate entrance on the other
end of Stone Jug Road. This will allow you to gain access
to Stone Jug, then eventually PRP. We are unfortunately
at the mercy of the construction. Please remember the
old saying," Temporary Inconvenience - Permanant
Improvement!" We thank you for your understanding and
ask that you use extreme caution when using the temporary
entrance.

low cars = scrape city?

Ughh the main entrance has been pretty crappy setup by PennDot. I can only imagine what their temp entrance will be like.

X2 Ed, that mine field they had there was a mess. Add to that, just about every night I have followed someone out of there that thought a burnout onto 22 was a good idea.
I can't wait to see what they come up with on the North end.

Reminds me of the tards when we went to see fast and furious. Did the same thing. Must have gotten a 10 second car from crossing the gates. HAHAHAHAH

They can't afford me. :D
OK, so the weather should be beautiful tomorrow night...... who has seen the entrance? my car has about 4-5" of ground clearance at its lowest spot (exhaust). If its ugly to get in, I aint going.

if you have slicks or sticky tires on your car, dont bother going. the entrance is basically gravel. I went past there yesterday

I went through the old setup a while ago and a worker came over to me and asked a couple questions, he said how frequently do you use this exit? My answer from his choices was seldom, then he asked how is the current setup for exiting the highway, my answer to his choices was poor! I bet he heard many of the same from others!!

Well, it looks like it went from getting down to 62* and clear to getting down to 69* and having scattered or isolated thunders all night. maybe it'll wash the entrance road smooth or something and some good will come out of this
I swear it only rains wednesdays....

I haven't seen this for myself, but from what I'm told, the new entrance is wide, trailers should not have a problem, and relatively smooth, low cars should not have a problem. I hear it's a lot better than the moon landing at the western end of Stone Jug we've been using.

My car has about 4" clearance from the road the the tranny pan and the oil pan and I don't thing I'll have a problem. It can't be worse then the other entrance.
Entrance is far better then the other entrance was. It was so much smoother. Low cars will be ok.

Good to hear, thanks guys! The last entrance was pretty high on the 'pucker factor' so I was too worried to go sight unseen on the new entrance they said to use extreme caution on. Thanks for the good news!

Any of you guys notice how much worse it got yesterday leaving? Was pretty darned nice when I came in, was pretty rough leaving. I hope they keep after it or else it will turn into a minefield too.

I didn't notice, but it was at the end of the day, and I was still seeing RED. I hope PennDot keeps up whatever entrance we'll use this week. Weather looks pretty good, so PennDot should make some headway on the construction.
