I got my time sert spark plug thread repair kit today. A couple hours later and it seems to work great. The kit was all conclusive and was very easy to use. That's as long as you take your time and follow the directions precisely.

I have had 3 sets of heads and numerous plug changes and this was my first problem with it. Even though I was aware of this being a problem.

man i need something like that

I paid 289 before shipping .and that was used with one insert missing. But still easier, and cheaper than removing the heads.

Your problem Scott, is there simply is not enough room to get to that plug with the length of the tools. I've looked into it in depth ;)

The one I have you're supposed be able to get to all of them including the econoline modular vans. You could drop the the tool in first and then put on the handle. Once it's in the hole it only sits about 1" above the deck.

Just use an extention with some tape wraped around it to keep it from coming apart.
