Figured it's been a while since I spent $25 for 2 or three runs at the dragstrip. Finally going to get some time to head out to PRP on Wednesday night. Going to take the 06 GT to see what the turd runs. Hell, I may even try to clean it for the 1st time in 3 months before I go. :D

Anyone else planning on going?

I think I'm going if I get a chance to re-check my timing as something is off with the car right now and I'm not sure what it is.

I may head out and get a feel of car with solid motor mounts. Last 2 tnt's I went I got 6 runs(would have been 7) and 5 runs. Hopefully my new upper control arm setup from Baseline Suspensions comes tommorrow and I can get those in for wednesday. Hoping car picks up about .06-.08 in the sixty and turns a 1.59-1.60

Sundays are not usually a race day. We've had a number of them this year, though, as make up days due to rain. We are racing both Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

Trophy is $20 to enter, 12.00 and slower, footbrake only (no electronics like transbrake or delay box), no slicks (DOT legal tires like MT ET Streets, Drag Radials, etc are fine), no open headers. 2 time trials before eliminations start. Dial ins go to the tenth, as in 12.90, 13.20, etc.

Street is $30 to enter, 12.00 and slower, footbrake only, slicks allowed (car must have driveshaft loop), open headers allowed. 2 time trials before eliminations start, dial ins go to the hundredth, as in 12.87, 13.19, etc.

Big car time trials start at 1pm. Gates open early, 9am, so the juniors can run.

Wow, I really want to run but I don't think I'll be able to for the next 2 weeks :(

Weather should be great. at 6 its supposed to be 75* and 53% humidity, by 10 it will get down to 65* with 56% humidity. Damn I want to run in some good air for a change!!

Oh hell ya car is back in top form and I still have my new suspension pieces to put on.

12.88@104.46, 1.68sixty - not bad with everything still warm from trip and sun still up and air temp warm.

12.69@107.48, 1.70sixty - left lane spun a hair, bumped shift point up 100rpm to 5700

12.58@105.31, 1.64sixty - hmm good air - 8.00@84.75 1/8

12.54@105.63, 1.64sixty - .03 off my best and there was no wind tonight and its still August :hyper: 7.98@85.07 1/8

Stock tune(Diablo Predator will NEVER EVER touch my car again), Sunoco 87, 12psi in slicks, struts at #3, shocks at #4pass/#3driver, leaving at 5500 everytime :3gears:

For a TnT the traction was best I have seen all year and that includes race days. Plus it was a zoo tonight. Bet we could have had 5 runs if not for the two imports that oiled down track.

Good to meet a few more Steel City people.

I had fun seeing everyone, but my car is still WAY off of where it should be. I took it up a few weeks ago and it didn't run anywhere near what it should have so I went again last night and pulled out all of the stops. I put on my skinnies, old ass ET streets, and yanked the seats in hopes that the car would run a number to make me happy again.... WRONG! My best was something like a 12.3 and a best trap speed of 112.8 which is about 5mph off of where I feel it should be since I'm making a good 30+rwhp than I was last year when I ran the 12.2 at 115mph in my sig. The car made one clean pass last night without breaking up. These AEM stand alones are great, but they are very sensitive to ignition problems and I obviously have one as the car breaks up in every gear in the upper 5000rpm range. To say I'm frustrated at this point is an understatement as the car should be in the 11's at 117mph+ all day everyday at PRP with the power its making now. :(

Thanks for the help Joe in getting my car all buttoned up at the end of the night. It was good to see you, Ed, Sean, and others that I haven't seen in a while. I'm bringing the focus next time and just spectating though. :(

Thanks Tim, and it was nice to finally meet you too. Unfortunately I never did get to see you run as I had my head in my laptop most of the night trying to figure out my ignition problem. I'll be back up again hopefully in better spirits and with a car that doesn't require attention after every pass. :goodidea:

Yep, set the neutral rev limit at 3,600 and just dumped the clutch, it hooked pretty well, even on the stock tires, then continued to keep the neutral rev limit engauged the entire way down the track. It was a hell of a 1 to 4 shift for the coast to the line from the 60' mark though! :rotflol:
