I wouldn't call them a direct fit. Yes, they will "bolt-on" but they will need modified to look right as they have a "wing" on the bottom of the mirror that sticks out on our body style. yeahloh95 has a set and we tried them on my car and they definitely need modified to look right.

Yes, mine are painted. Ours are a lot lighter too as the 03 cobra's are HEAVY compared to ours. Ours do not fold away like the cobra's do though.

you can paint anything lol...i have seen the stock mirrors painted an it def looks good...just depends on your taste

if I can get mine painted I'll stick with the stock, I just was looking for a way to have my mirrors match, wasnt sure if the paint would stick to the plastic

anyone know if the taillight housing can be painted as well? mine are looking kinda faded

yes, but they are a 1pc design so you must mask them off to paint them. the96-up are two pieces and much easier to paint.
