Does anyone close to me have this mass air meter cheap?
Part number on it: F1ZF-12B579-AA, its believed its from a 5.0 Mustang 90-93, although I'm not positive. I'm looking to do some playing around, and might be interested in a few of them if cheap enough.
Thanks,

If noone on here has 1 Bob I got 1 from 3.0 taurus for my 5.0 car and it works great, it was like $5 out of Upullit.

Shaun - I will get to u-pull when I'm off over the holidays and shop around.
Troy - I dont think its the right one, I think its only from the 91-93 cars but am not sure. I want to start out with that exact part number as I know the transfer curve will work as planned.
I suspect you both know what I'm up to here. When I get it worked out, I will have details of how to make it work for all of us ;) I plan to document it pretty well.

We will see...damn thing might get slower after I get it all screwed up :D I would love nothing more than to get that barn door VAM off the turbo inlet.

I think Don's VAM is a blow thru, not sure though can't remember.

Don's car is (was?) a blow through. When I saw him last I think he said he was putting it back on the inlet?
If I'm going to go throught the effort of moving it, its getting moved into a garbage can ;) Some guys get them to work blow through, some have tons of issues. Sooner or later the meter fails anyway. When (if?) I get this all worked out, it will be a pretty sweet little set-up.

Mine was blow through, but you got to mess with the spring inside of the vam, kind of a pain. I am going back to draw through, or maybe i should wait at this point cause mass air would be would be very cool. Good luck Bob!

Well i went on a search mission to find my stock maf sensor for my 90 5.0. Found the sensor housing but forgot that the actual sensor i reused on my c&l meter. Let me know if the housing is of any use to you Bob.

No use for the housing, I plan to make this work without a housing too, that is why I'm looking for a few (in case of mistakes). I have one to start playing with.
Don - Dont wait for me on the mass air, it will happen, but I've got to drive the car to tune, and its off insurance until March 1st. I need to get the car sorted for all of these other changes i'm making with the VAM, then I can start to work on this so its going to be well into the spring before its ready for prime time unless I get some cheap dyno time ;) I'm also looking at getting set up to burn chips, so it might get fun for all of us ;)

Bob, I was at Upullit today and was checking out the mass air meters on the 3.0 Taurus and I had wrote done the part# you posted on here and they are the same. I didn't take any sockets cause i just went for a coil plug, but I got a price list and they are $10, and prob. 5 meters in there.
