I picked my engine up from Wolfpack Speed the other day. I had Jim (Woody) from Fordstrokers send it to Mikes shop to save a little on the shipping charges. It's a Mexican block 347. It also has a custom ground Camshaft Innovations cam that Jay sent directly to Woody and he threw it in for me along with the Canton oil pan that Lou (Sonic03cobra) hooked me up with. Fordstrokers was great to deal with over the course of the whole transaction. Jim took care of me and i'm extremely pleased with his services. www.FordStrokers.com Hats off to Jim Woods @ Fordstrokers, Jay Allen @ www.CamshaftInnovations.com , Lou @ www.LaurelMountainMustang.com , and last but not least Mike Koval @ www.WolfpackSpeed.com . All parties took great car of me and I wouldn't hesitate to use any or all of them again.

If I had the money to spare, and the wife would let me, I'd have one under the hood AND one sitting in the living room.
Very nice. Will this be up and running this season, (before the snow flies)?

Looks sweet! So how long till you split that lifter valley? I know you're shooting for BIG power with this one. Next time you're in Monessen, let me know, you can come check out the Boss 302 block I bought for when you're ready for a replacement.

Thanks bud!:goodidea: Both guys were a total pleasure to work with. Jim & Jay are 2 of the most knowledgeble Ford guys that I have ever know.

The engine is so pretty that I would like to buy a piece of glass and make it into a coffee table in my rec. room.:rotflol:
No the engine won't be going in this year, maybe over the winter.....:highfive:

I'm shooting for around 650 rwhp and mid to high 9's at 140+......:jump:

For about $500 more bones you could of had a Dart Sportsmen. To do anything bigger than a 331 in the Boss block requires a custom piston. I don't know the whole deal on it but i'm sure Woddy could fill you in on the details.
What kind of combo do you plan on???:)

Isn't the piston walls 3/4" shorter? So therefore the piston has some slap to it at BDC..........? With a 347 that is...:hyper:
Thanks for all of the compliments guys! I'll keep this thread updates as I get the rest of my parts and start putting this thing together. I need to order some ARP head studs, and some Fel-Pro head gaskets so I can throw the heads on and measure for pushrod length.

Combo is going to be a 331 so the so the shorter cylinder length makes no difference to me.. My boss is dating the Sister of the owner of CFE Racing and is going to see about getting me a set of their heads and intake. Thinking about topping it off with a 88mm turbo. Should be relatively easy to hit the 1,000 rwhp mark I'm shooting for with the CFE Heads.

The orange one. I'm going to get it ready to repaint over the winter and paint it when the weather breaks in the spring. I have gathered alot of parts for it already. Hopefully another two years and about $20k and I'll have it built just the way I want it.

I ordered my headstuds today, once I get them and the new head gaskets I will be setting the valvetrain up and measuring for pushrod length.:)
