Cobalt SS K.O.

This kid that graduated from my high school 2 years ago has a supercharged cobalt ss, just an intake exhaust, and a new clutch. My 5.0 being stock with a full exhaust, intake, and a king cobra clutch. We went to the highway and raced from a 20 roll twice and i had him by 3 cars easily all the way to about 120 both times. Then further down we went from a stop and on the 3rd honk i dumped it which was dumb because i couldnt hook until 3rd gear but he got me by 1 car all the way to 120. I think this was a pretty darn good race for me because my car is basically stock and those cobalts arent too shabby for a 4 cyl supercharged. Next time ill hook and blow his doors off. :rotflol:

I think he lives by me, seen him riding a GTO's ass down Cal, and one day he did a ricer fly by on me when I was in my 2.3t car. I didnt even down shift :rolleyes:

i raced him with my 300zx n/a he beat me by a half a car. we went from a roll 1st to 3rd gear. he has smaller pulleys boost more bigger injectors and tune, full exhaust and a couple other little goodies. I think that who your talking about....

i love to have one as a dd that gets 30mpg, but wouldnt want one as a race car... I beat a stage 2 ss in my black stang and camaro, nice lil cars for sure..

Good kill, just gotta be careful racing some of those import drivers. Seems like they always have something to prove to themselves. I almost got hit by a celica with a body kit on a ricer flyby one time. lets just say I was fairly annoyed that he kept tailgating me - so once he finally got beside me and we just so happened to be on an empty stretch of road, he had a lonnnnnng time to get up to whatever speed he was going

I beat one of those at the track, and I thought they would be faster. I was through the 1/4 mile well before he hit the 1000' mark. Those Cobalt guys love talking shit on 5.0s and whatnot. Hey I like my Cavalier but I'm not out trying to street race it.

A SS/SC can give a 5.0 a good run, but those Cobalt guys won't even play with a 4 valve car.

I like that notch. it looke real goob. i thought it was a 5.0 but then i saqw you driving away and heard the turbo and realized that was pretty sweet 2.3

Your all gonna think this hilarious but when that cobalt went to prp last night. He blew his tranny. haha Hes a pretty shitty driver and i guess he didnt have enough miles on the clutch before he started burning it up. lol

yeah i saw the video of it. It was pretty bad, its common sense to pull off to the side, not try to start it up again and go down the track.
