we had a nice thread on the old board with tons of pics of everyones rides, lets get it going again!!!

here is a pic from wfc 9 when i still had the 6-speed in the car, had tranny problems all weekend but still managed a 10.23 @ 135 1.49 60'

best et with the 6-speed was a 10.08 @ 139 1.50 60'

What color is your Dad's car? Looks great.

I'm not sure what it's called exactly. Basically like a Dark Shadow Grey I guess. He's had that car since 1971 I believe. It was originally dark blue, but we completely restored the car back in around 97-98. His cousin owns a body shop and did a LOT of work on the car, it sat for about 16 years and just about every piece of sheet metal needed to be replaced. It turned out pretty good, but he rarely takes it out for a drive. I doubt he's put more than 5000 miles on it since we finished it :rolleyes: . Definitely a fun ride though, it's got an old school 302 that can rev to 8k with ease and we just put the locker back in the rear with 4.20 gears :D

The three of us raced there religiously for years. 3-5yrs ago there wasn't a TNT that we were not at. We definitely don't race as much as we used to, at least not for the past 2-3yrs, but we still make it up on occasion.

Seriously, how long does it take to change all of those parts back over to the stockish ones? And how does nobody realize that its far from stock? I mean I cant tell anything from the pics, but they gotta think something is up.:uhh:

About 45 minutes to swap over all of the tires/wheels, and then about another hour to swap in the BBK catted H pipe. So, in two hours, there can be a dramatic change in demeanor ! Just turn on the Alpine stereo and ride in style !! ;)

Here's a pic of my first Mustang. It was a 1986 LX with a 1990 stock bottom ended 5.0 HO with a carb, an f-cam, victor jr. intake, ported '75 mexican heads with 1.90 1.60 valves, long tubes, no cats, flowmaster catback, underdrives, 4.10's, Roller Rockers, and a 150 shot. It went 11.50s. I traded it for a 1995 Mustang.

I went to Rita's in bethal and you where there. I was driving my 90 red fox. After we finished I started walking towards your car just to check it out a bit, and my girlfriend tried to get in the passenger side. The door was locked so she stood there like WTF. It was funny as hell, cause I knew what she was thinking so I just waited there for however long it was gonna take to click. It never did though. I had to tell her "Thats not my car. Mine's the right over there" She was pissed. funny stuff.

This is a Pinto Bodied Dirt Modified we ran in the 70's before going to Late Models. We stuffed a 428 in it with a 4spd,Franklin quick change rear and a hand clutch(no room for a petal) and ran the thing at all the dirt tracks around. This is the car that Louie got his first smell of and first sound of Ford power!!!

Thanks everyone! I don't know the exact name of the color, but it's the same as the 96 Mustang GT that was orange, the Boss version maybe? There was one around here a long time ago and that's where I got the idea. I haven't seen it for years though. Was that even an original Ford color? I'm pretty sure it was because when I had it painted they asked what year and model I was looking for and this is what I got.

Thank you everyone. What you can't see is how crappy the hood is, build wise. It must have been made by the drunk shift over in China or something. The guys who did the paint and body work did an excellent job making this cheesey hood look good, they took all of the wave out of it. Who makes a good quality SVO hood that is raised a bit like a cowl?

Here are some pictures of my 1988 Lincoln Mark VII and my 1995 Mark VIII. The Mark VIII is stock but the 88 has had a little work done to it. By work I mean that it has a Vortech supercharger among other things as seen in the photos. Most of the engine is powdercoated by myself since this is my hobby.

We'll be out at carlisle for the All Ford Nationals, hope to see some of you there.

Thanks guys. I like the fact that I don't see many other cars like mine on the road. Restomods are becoming a lot more common than they were a few years ago, and I think it's great for the hobby. Stock is nice, and restomod / pro-touring is cool. Everybody wins!

393 - I looked and looked for a local fastback back in '92 when I bought this car. But I couldn't find anything in my price range that wasn't a complete disaster. Of course, 1 month after I bought my car I visited a buddy in Wisconsin and we went to a huge swap meet and found a super solid '66 fastback lightly bumped in the rear. Zero rust. Only $4500. The next month I was at Carlisle with another buddy and saw the same car. I showed it to him and he bought it. Now it's a sweet Shelby clone - Ivy Green like mine - no stripes - with a 347 stroker and a toploader 4-speed. Beautiful car. It's cool when our cars are parked side-by-side.

OSD - I checked out your '69 photos you sent the link for. That will be a sweet car when it's done. Take your time and make sure it's done right the first time. It will all be worth it in the end.

My wife's '66 GT is buried in the back of the garage. I'll have to take some photos this weekend after I clean up the garage and dig out the car.

well since we are showing some trucks, here's the new shop truck! as soon as ford gets there diesel program squared away she'll be gone but it will do for now. took a customers car accross state in the box trailer, this little 5.4 tows better than i thought it would...
