ok a buddy of mine is swapping a 2.3t out of a 1987 turbocoupe into his 1987 mustang. he is stuck on the wiring. does anybody know how he should wire everything or where i could get detailed instructions for him? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Follow the info Mike posted. The 87-90 cars are absolutly the simplest swap possible. The ONLY thing you will need from the 87 TC harness is the Vane Air Meter plug, wire that in, make a few changes and it's good to go. You DO NOT even need to remove the harness from the car. The last harness I did took me all of an hour (once I actually worked on it), but the owner had it removed from the car. He put the harness back in, we checked everything out, and basically had the car running in an hour (after we fixed some dumb stuff from having the harness out).

thanks bob, i was hoping you would chime in:jump:.that was his biggest confusion was how exactly to wire the VAM
