View Full Version : What are these holes on lower intake??

i was installing fuel injectors and rail earlier and saw two holes in the back of the lower intake manifold and dont know what they are for? i found a pic online of a lower intake and circled what i am talking about in yellow. in this pic, the holes are filled, mine do not have anything in them....what are they for??? one side looks like a hose plugs into it or something??

For coolant? That be my guess.

the top one is for the throttle body heater that most people take off, and the lower one is just a plug, but they are both into coolant passages, and man is that intake ported or what...

Yeah, I would say. It looks like they had to do a little welding where they got a little crazy. It looks like it should flow.

so can i just plug both of these with bolts and ill be good to go?

They welded those runners so they can port the runners straighter. Tmoss does this sort of thing all the time to stock style intakes
