Took advantage of the great weather today. New best again.

Heres the best slip. Also ran a 10.62 and a 10.74.

60'-------1.5544
330'------4.3778
1/8th-----6.7558
MPH------103.09
1000'------8.8134
1/4-------10.6002
MPH------122.88

Car ran great, pulled the wheels. I cannot be happier with it. Never thought it would run that good. Now the BUT. Last run it launched great but made a giant mess when i think it blew a headgasket. Guess thats what happens when you run on the edge. Early start on the winter mods i guess. LOL.

Thanks again to Wolfpack Speed and Rodeheavers.

Were you using head studs or bolts? And what was your torque procedure?

Robert, you keep saying about the 9333's, I tossed one going to work in a third gear pull. Granted I have ARP bolts not studs but I still destroyed one. I have not had any issues with the 1011-2's. I went with those after a ton of research. It was either those or cometic's and I wasnt gonna spend the money for those.

Billy, ARP has changed their torque values. Were yours done recently or a while ago? The heads might have not been torqued enough. They upped them a good bit.

I almost wonder if the block split. Good possibility.

How much boost have you thrown at yours?
I've been 20lbs. + for awhile now on mine and they are a-ok. I also torqued my own arp studs to 85lbs. lower and 90lbs. upper using 10w30 oil.

Like i said earlier, good job man... if your head gasket is what went i would say it was prob from detonation thats usually always the case, on a cold day like today those a/r numbers will change guarantied, and if i remember correctly your head studs came with the updated information in the box... just pull the plugs and look at em, that usually tells the story.. LOOKS LIKE ITS TIME FOR A 347!!!!!

They are studs. They were recent and Tim was aware of the new specs when he torqued them.

Im am not blaming anyone. I drive a time bomb. Something was going to break sooner or later. If its just a gasket good. If i split the block, oh well. Ill just have to start my motor fund early.

Billy, Is the car already at Wolfpack? Once Mike gets that engine ripped apart and diagnosed exactly whats wrong then we can go from there and see if your going to need a complete shortblock or just some new gaskets and a fresh head surfacing. Either way we'll get her taken care of!:goodidea:

Bud, do you know how fast 8's are?
You'll need 1000+rwhp to di it, and a $20K chassis, license, etc....

Congrats on the new best Billy! Sorry to hear about the troubles. I am just glad you stuck with it instead of quitting when your converter wasn't right. This is what it's all about and what makes it all worth it in the end! I will call you this week to let you know what happened, looks like we can finally get all your oil leaks and other stuff fixed:sticktonge:
