Let me know your impressions of D42 if you go there. I've never been, have heard different things. I can't get into their site from here, are they having a test n tune Sunday, or bracket day?

I have been there once before (last year) with a few peeps from here. I like the track. It is old and nistalgic (<sp) and they are not real picky when it comes to tech. The people that work there are easy going. It is said to be a pretty fast track.
Sunday is just a TnT day I believe

I think Nick said there were 12 runs, if you were there from start to finish. I thought there would have been more cars for the last blast, but, I think a lot of people go by the printed schedule, and avoid the website. There were some nice cars. The '67 Charger running 11.20s at 120 and the '69 Road Runner that looked like a stock resto with the black steel wheels running 12.10s at 110 were my favorites.

Was it a ginger brown color on black steelies???
If so, he must've added some convertor to it from his last outing.
That car is GREAT....looks like a completely stock engine with the hood open. :goodidea::goodidea:
That's a big car to be going 120. :jump:

Yep, that's the one. Total sleeper, it's awesome. It looked like it was leaving pretty soft, to me. I'll post pics once I upload to photobucket.
The one was a Super Bee(green car) and guy said only second time out. Went 12.0's and he was trying for 11.9's for bragging rights at work. Very nice car.

11.20's @ 120 isn't leaving THAT soft....gotta be low 1.6's or high 1.5's...no?
Last time it was running 11.7x's with stock convertor, and stock 3.25 gears...I bet he added more gear before replacing the convertor...he drives it 1.5hrs to and from the track.
He said it made 590hp @ the crank through the factory exhaust manifolds!
Total sleeper...I love it.
Thanks for sharing the pics.

I would love to know what his 60' is. I agree, it should be at least 1.6x. What I meant by soft is, I don't recall him coming up on the converter much. He may have been leaving a little above idle. And you can tell when cars shoot out at the launch; it didn't really seem like he did. But the top end was a helluva charge! :awsome:
It is a total sleeper, never would have guessed looking at the tailpipes! Or maybe the car is so big it makes the pipes look small. :D
And the green car is a '69 Super Bee, not a Road Runner. My edit didn't take.
