I got a phone call this morning. i filled out a stupid app thing ogg myspace. from www.carsponsorships.com (http://www.carsponsorships.com). they called me today about sponsoring my car. all i had to do was hand out flyers at car shows and take pics..then they wanted $90 agent fee. i was wondering if anyone else went through this stuff? im 90% sure its a scam

If you seeking sponsorship you don't need an agent, although there are some out there that do gets results such as fox marketing. Write up a business plan and detail why you feel the company would benefit from them having their products showcased on your car. I have received partial sponsorships on some of my things but I was able to do this because I was able to prove that my car was worthy of such parts and that I could help promote their products. I have a friend that gets full sponsorship on some items, but his car has been featured in 3 magazines, its a multiple best of show winner, and it has been the cover car of a major mustang magazine. If you have a near stock car and you haven't done anything noteworthy, chances are you will not even receive a second look when you submit your proposal to these companies. So in other words, you still have to pay to play before you can hope of getting sponsorship.
