So, I've been getting a "renewal" in the mail for a few months now. I just throw it away. Today I get one that says "cancelled and action to be taken" or something. So, I do a little research. Next to my name on the mag, it says July '09, so I know I paid for a new subscription. (by the way, the last one I got was for September... I haven't been paying too much attention, I guess). I look in my checkbook and I wrote a check out on 5/14/08 WHICH WAS CASHED. My online banking check image system only goes back 90 days, so I sent a request. In the meantime, I called MM/FF and spoke with sweet Kristy.
After explaining myself, she says, "Ok, we'll get you turned back on and add 3 more mags to the end of your scription."
So I say, "OK, when I get the check image, do you want me to forward it to you".
She says, "Nah."
WTF?
So I say, "Well, do you just believe me or what?"
She says, "It seems like there was something going on with your account like a re-order or something."
I said, "Well, when I sent it back in, I did write a little nasty-gram on the order form that said --- Why do I have to pay 34.97 and new subscriptions only pay 29.97?"
She says, "Oh, maybe that was it, but it looks like we cashed the check and you're all fixed up now."
WTF?
I think they just fugged with me because I wrote the nasty gram and paid an EXTRA 5 bucks.
