hey i got my car running and went threw the break in period. im having trouble tunning it 100% im at about 10% haha i can get it running and the idle bounces and for no reason somtime will shut off. does anybody have and tips for me or could take a look at it and tune it?? im pretty sure its running very rich somtimes ill c gas coming out the exhaust. any help would be great!!:goodidea:

Hey Brian, give me a call tomorrow afternoon. Your running way rich. Turn the big needle in half a turn until it runs wide open. Depending on the carb you have, you may have a low and mid or just a low end needle which is the one on the end of the slide. It should be flush. Get the idle up with the set screw until it idles. This should get you going for a bit. Most importantly, always make sure you can see smoke when running it.

ok sunday might be better. I work till 6 sat. how does sun sound? I know it has a low and high speed no mid and of course the idle neddle too

how often to glow plugs go bad? should I keep extra with me?

Get a few of them. 9 times out of 10 the break in period eats them. They might still work but it you hit it with the ignitor you will see that its not as bright as a new one is.

Its hard to tune these things over the phone or internet. See if you can, get some one to help you hands on.

You might want to find some one with a temp gun to make sure you dont lean the fuel out to much.
