yeah started real strong...i sure am lovin our defense tho. i'd rather see leftwitch start tho esp. after last week.

and no im not saying that now because of how ben played tonight, that's been my thought since we picked leftwitch up.

Granted, Ben played an awful game. He got rid of the ball quicker than usual, but made two awful throws on short passes that resulted in interceptions. But Leftwich isn't the answer - he is merely a very good backup.

We really suffered without Woodley in there - our pass rush was almost non-existent. Manning gets rid of the ball as quick as anyone. The only way to disrupt him is to put his ass on the ground early and often, like we did in the AFC Championship game. Tonight we did not do that.

Can someone please teach Troy Polamalu and Ike Taylor how to catch the ball? Ike tipped the one pass ( that he should have picked ) right to Reggie Wayne for the first Indy TD, and Troy dropped an easy one right in his hands that he could have walked back for a TD.

We just didn't execute tonight. Throw in some really vanilla play calling and terrible clock management at the end of the game and it is easy to see why we came up short.

Hopefully we can get it together ( and get healthy ) very soon. We have some really big games on the horizon, other than the Bengals. It will take some good football to stay atop the division.

The AFC is up for grabs this year. I think we can make a run at it if we can get our starters back on the field. If we win the division, we will be one of the most battle-tested teams in the league. A brutal schedule like ours ( the toughest in the league this year ) makes it tough to survive, but if we do win the division, we'll know that we can play with anyone in the league.

Call me a homer , but I'm keeping the faith until the end.

That definitely was a part of it. But had we punched it in we would have ended up in a tie at the end of regulation.

When Peyton Manning gift wraps you an interception and you don't take advantage, he's going to make you pay.

Do the Steelers have a conditioning issue? We certainly have a offense line problem. We always seem to run out of gas in the 4th quarter. Ben never runs any more either. I have to wonder if Ben's shoulder wasn't a problem also. That's the second game in the past three that the Steelers failed to put away. The offense just can't seem to hold up there end of the deal... And where was the no-huddle offense in the 4th quarter?

I'm so glad u said this and i totally agree about ben running anymore. What changed?? I've been talking to numerous people about this also. He used to run out of the pocket and make plays but not anymore

Yeah it p#ssed me off that they (the Steelers) can have the T.O.P 2/3rds of the game and loose.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, I thought it was a great game :sticktonge:
I did however almost fall out of the chair when that hail mary was tipped toward Nate Washington.
