title says it! I am ready to cut this SVO of mine up to put a t-top roof in it and I am debating on a roll cage to tighten the thing up. If you would know me, you would know that overkill is often my middle name!! So for those of you that have a roll cage you got to crawl over every day, what you got to say about it? And o, this is not a cage for like drag racing, its more for open track events and road racing and the like... Whats your opinions? I am ready to do something crazy, but I want this thing to handle and be tight, and have a t top roof at the same time :rotflol:

YESSS!!! Just what i wanted to see!! You didnt do the t-tops though did you? Does the cage fix the "weakness" that everybody claims this roof gives the body?

Mine is a factory 88 GT T-top car. I had Rodeheaver's do the cage and his subframe connectors on the car. It is so stiff, you can jack three wheels up from one jack point if you want. Give Tim a call (He has also done a T-top conversion), or I should be working on mine this Saturday if you want to swing by and see it. Here's a few more pictures of the cage:

You do know there is more to a SVO than just an engine right???
Frank - I have an idea. Get the car running right, fix the dent in the fender, and just drive the freaking thing already

I would like to play a big role in whatever happens to it. What is this about being hooked up with wolfecraft? Explain... Or just text me, I lost your number anyway when I got a new phone.

The running right part is a given, but you know me, I have to have all the unnessary steps miles down the road planned out before the first :D

No worries my friend, no worries! And I like the cage idea too :jump:
On more in depth thought and discussion with Ed, idk even know if this cage will work with the ttops because it fits snug to the roof and idk if the handles will be able to open. researching more....
Thanks for the replies!!

Cages and DD are a no no unless you plan on wearing a harness and helmet everytime you drive it. If you think I am kidding just have some one hit you in the head with a baseball bat to get an idea of what I am talking about. Now picture how hard your head will hit those bars in a wreck if you are not wearing a harness and helmet.
Just something to think about.
