Where you guys go to get your aftermarket parts? I just looked up some forums.. Im basically just looking to add some bolt-ons wheels and tire combo (after i move) and decided to start doing some searching now. I still got my 02 F-150 with a 5.4 in it and looking to get some uniqueness out of it.

i may have a set of wheels for it. customer of mine had 5 16x10 mickey thompson wheels for his f150 right now there is 37inch boggers on the wheels sure he would let them go cheap though

I bought tirs and wheels for my F250 from select tire in Florida, I couldn have been happier with their service. I would also look into 4 wheel parts wholsalers and see what they can get for you. www.4wheelparts.com

not to highjack your thread scotty, but, does anyone know if Explorer lift kits and stuff like that will work on my Merc? I dont see why not but if anyone has any insight i would appreciate it, there isnt much aftermarket for my SUV.

Your Merc is an Explorer. Just like my Mark LT is a F-150.

yea clark.. Search for the fourms that were offered to ray in one of his threads and sign up they also have places for the explorer.....
Really just looking to keep the stock lift but try to fit a lil bigger tire, with a 16in wheel.. Something like this

Was thinking of just getting a 17in so i can keep my stock tires and upgrade later.

I ran 16x10 wheels on my 2002 f150 with 305-70-16 tires. I did not have a lift on the truck and had to trim the front valance a little to clear the tires when turned. It looked great IMO. After trimming the valance they never rubbed once in the 3 years I had them on there, even when off road. The wheels I had were ultras but summit sells them now as there brand.

I have a 98 4.6 F150 reg cab, short stepside bed. It just turned over 130K
I am running NITTO Terra Grapplers and I love them so far. I have not been off road but they kick butt in the snow and don’t skate around on dry roads or make any noise. They are also wearing VERY well.
As for performance mods.... Well the only thing that will make these trucks faster is driving them off a cliff. I hear that also increases gas mileage. I have a SCT X3 programmer, Volant CAI, Boral side exit exhaust and dead cats. I am looking at picking up electric cooling fans next.
Before you mod I would recommend cleaning your throttle body and get the carbon out. Mine was so bad that I had to use an ice pick to clear the ports. It smoothed out the idle and got rid of the very short start up pause. I always like my vehicles to fire when I touch the key. That little 2 second crank kills me. Also go over all the vacuum hoses and put in a new set of plugs and wires.

I will say this, GOOD LUCK ON WHEELS... Almost every company out there has discontinued the 5x135mm bolt pattern for the 97-03/4 F150's. I went thru a 2-3 month ordeal trying to get wheels for my moms 03 SCrew. All they make anymore are some 16's, some 17's (some) and alot of 20's and 22's
As for tires, Nitto Terra Grapplers, 2nd set we put on the truck, and they are a GREAT tire.
as for performance, i get all my stuff from www.dpppower.com (http://www.dpppower.com/).

Whats the difference between the 5.4 in my 2002 and the 5.4 in the 04 and newer trucks? Everywhere i see they have parts but its for the newer 5.4s?

I Think it was 04 that had 3 valves in them but not til late 04 trucks.
