FWIW. According to today's Beaver County Times, PRP has signed a 3 year extension with the IHRA sanctioning body.

It does suck but, most of all the management of the track sucks. They seem to forget that the racers are their customers.

Too bad someone can't rent the track every month or even sooner. The track rental I attended @PRP seemed more organized and the involvement of the PRP staff was minimal. It seems as though the more responsibility that is placed on the staff (read:T-N-T), chaos and non-professionalism rears it's ugly head.
If the management re-assessed the customers' needs. Or for that matter, put a manager on that has experience resolving customers complaints in a positive manner. PRP would elevate itself from a 5 out of 10 to an 8 out of 10 in my opinion. It's never gonna be an Atco, MIR, VMP, Raceway Park, or Cecil simply because of the altitude it resides. However, a well thought out game plan e.g., investing in updated clean up equipment would make the experience worth it to the avg. racer.
But on the other hand, why do any of that when the turnout is tremendous and the profit margin is even greater BECAUSE it's the only track in this freakin' area!!

Just want to clarify things for those interested....
There is a link to the Mikey Mustang Forum on the main page of http://www.mikeymustang.com, and there is a link to the forum on the Links page.
To register, look for the funny looking square symbol/icon under the "PM" option in the header. It is to the right of the "key" symbol (login icon). When you click on it (square symbol/icon), you will be able to register. I apologize for this being awkward as *I* was the one who picked this template, not realizing registering and logging on would be a challenge with such obscure icons.
As we acquire dates for the track rental, we will post flyers/instructions/etc. there, also linking back here to SteelCityStangs by posting a link to the thread on the mikeymustang forum.
To echo what Mike said, it is NOT our intention to steal any thunder from SteelCityStangs. We both enjoy this forum (Thanks Lou! :pinkthumb: ). However, for the last track rental the forum ran into some technical difficulties (faulting no one) and Mike and Dan were concerned how they'd communicate any track rental changes. Luckily SteelCityStangs was back up in time.
That said, as we gear up for some track rentals, is there anything you racers would like to do or not do? I think it best to keep it simple and let racers make as many passes as possible. The premise is to rent PRP to do some serious TNTing and some fun full-throttle passes.

In regard to the last paragraph in the above post. I thought the track prep was great. The organization of the event as a whole was better than I have ever experienced at that track.
