I have 1995 Cobra with an engine coolant based oil cooler. The cooler takes engine antifreeze down to an adapter that is in between the oil filter and the block. The rubber seal between the block and the cooler looked pretty shot so I stopped at the dealer to get a replacement. The seal had been discontinued. The cooler “can’t be cored” either.
So if / when this things starts to leak…
Any idea who might make an aftermarket replacement?
The Ford Number for the seal is – F4ZZ-6L621-AA.

There is no replacement, most just delete it and run the regular FL1A oil filter in its place.

I ended up making my own.

Cool! What did you use? I have the same cooler on my '94 cobra and although I don't have an issue with it yet, I'm sure I will.

Call NAPA-ask for a Fel Pro gasket. I take it that the gasket is for the oil filter adapter? Just bought one for a Lincoln.

Can you get a part number?

I started with a used oil filter gasket and trimmed it to fit. I took some pictures. I will try to post them this weekend. So far I only have about 750 miles on the unit, but it does not leak.

Is this the gasket you bought from NAPA?

Yes, but you can go on fel pro's website and find your gasket. That's how I found the one I needed and NAPA crossed reference for me.

The SSP oil cooler for the 5.0 uses a much simpler gasket.

Not sure how I missed this. There is a gut named Mitch on TurboFord and Foureyedpride that has sourced the proper seal for these (used on all 2.3T cars). Well, it's as correct as we are going to get, it's missing a notch but works. Here is the FEP thread....

And Turbo Ford thread............

He was out of them for a while, but says on FEP that he has them again. I also have a few of the oil coolers here and have just swapped them when they leak ;) Hope this helps.

My gasket is working very well, but I see the point others are making...
I used the rubber seal from an oil filter. The rubber ORing's ID was to small. So I turned the gasket inside out and 'thinned out' the gasket very carefully on a grinder. I only have 3K miles on it but it has held up like a trooper. I can believe the point that was made that those ORings were not made for long term usage. Since Bob was able to point us to someone making those gaskets, I think I will pickup one in case I spring a leak.

Thanks for the update. I actually deleted mine and am running the GT setup.
