Well I have been looking for a PFAB tank to go with my PFAB coolant reservoir. Well I thought I found one on SVTP and I seemed rough, but I was going to have it polished. I get it in the mail today, the is a freaking gouge in the back it, I asked the guy if there was anything wrong with it. He said no. BS...I am so freaking P.O. right now. I sent him a PM and CC the mods in hoping that he might refund some coin. I will wait and see...

that sucks man. You should have asked for pictures if you were planning on using a used part as show quality... does it have a hole in it or just that little ding?

PJ if it's not a hole it can be sanded out and then polished. A price adjustment should be in order though for sure if he said it's perfect.

I carbon copied them on a PM I sent to the guy. I did not hear back from either. Maybe you can put a word in for me? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I thought he was ok. He had a positive trader rating of 3 and they all have been recent.

It is a deep gouge and I did ask for pictures. I knew the tank was used and scuffed up a little. I thought from the pictures it was a scuff. I asked him if there was anything wrong with the tank, his response was no. I did not care about the scuffs because I was going to to send the tank out to get polished by a vendor on Mod Fords. I did not expect anything like what I got.

That's what I was thinking. Only problem is how deep it is. I am thinking it would leave a pothole. Can you add to it then sand it back down?

Sorry to hear about this PJ. It seems that ever since the economy went south people are pulling all kinds of crap more and more.

You would need to tig it and I am sure that it would leave an even bigger mark or would just not look right.

Yep.

I sent him a pm saying that how can you miss a gouge like the one on back of the tank. His response was it was in perfect working order when he took it off. I did not ask him if it was in good working order, I asked is there anything wrong with it. I would think you could not miss that. I guess not.......Sometimes you just can't fix stupid.

If I don’t not get any satisfaction in a few days ( this way he can't say I did not give him enough time), then I will turn him in.

Too bad. I sold my pfab tank a couple months ago. Mine was in pretty nice shape too. Shady sellers are becoming more common and too frequently ran into anymore. Hopefully you can get it squared away.
