Door Key?

Hey guys, my brother needs a door key for his 95 GT. Is there any way to go about getting one of these other than taking the car to a locksmith? He tried calling a Ford dealer near him and they said they only have records back to 98. Any ideas?

A 95 is to old to cut from the Vin number. The ford key code system wont go back that far. If the door key and the ignition ket is the same just pull the ignition cylinder take it to a lock smith and have them make a key to it. If its a door key ONLY, take the door lock cylinder out and take it to a lock smith. Otherside you will have to pay a service call to have them come to your house. UNLESS he can find what dealer sold it new and they still have the original dealer info file with all the cars info...but good luck at that lol. I hope something works out Ray.

Thanks for the info Vince :goodidea:. He has the ignition key, but it's not the same one for the doors. He'll have to end up driving to a lock smith I guess. I was hoping it'd be easier than that, but nothing ever is :rolleyes:
