View Full Version : Hot Rod Cams...

Started installing these in a customers car this afternoon, they are supposed to have a nice sound to them! If the new phaser hardware is here tomorrow as scheduled, I should have them finished and will try to post up a video or sound clip. I found excess metal shavings on both sets of cams, was a little disappointed in that but is exactly why I always inspect parts:thmbsup:

What are the factory cam specs?

Cams are done but I need to get some fresh oil, filter and pop some udp's on in the morning. I fire it up tomorrow, if my camera takes videos I will try to hook it up! No clue on the cam specs Rob, they are the ford racing hot rod cams...

Well, we fired the car and they sound wicked!!! I took a vid with my digital camera but the sound quality was horrible and wouldn't do the cams any justice! I really need to get a video recorder and will try to do so in the near future. Thanks for posting the sound clip cam303, that should tease plenty of people!!!:thmbsup:

Power mods are UDP's, CMP's, JLT, Cams, LT's, Pro Chamber, MAC AB. Car will be on the dyno next Saturday when Jon is here for the tuning day. It sounds good in the video but much better in person!!!

it does sound very nice! not to aggressive to be "hunting" for a idle but def can tell its camed!

I just started it up for customer who came to pick up his car. After we were done I listened to the video again, it just doesn't compare to the sound in person! This may very well be the best sounding street car I have heard yet...

Does anyone know what the final numbers were? I have an 06 and this seems like a good upgrade path.
