Hi.
I just finished installing my Vortech S-trim blower on the 95 Vert and now I have a check engine light on with a code of :
157 = Mass Air Flow sensor circuit below minimum voltage
The MAF sensor that I am using is a Summit brand.
It worked and did not throw any codes prior to the blower install.
The car does run "ok" but does not run great down low. It has a hesitation when first mashing the throttle. It does idle.
Does anyone have any ideas about what I could have done wrong?

I think that should be a draw through maf, Is the maf calibrated for the new injectors that went in with the blower install??

Tim, I bought the MAF matched with the 24lb injectors that were in the car for about a year. I used the specified diaphram and washer for 24lb injectors that came with the FMU.
The exact one that I have is: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SUM%2D29051B&N=700+0&autoview=sku
Let me know what you think.
Thanks, Vince.

Ok. I have been doing some reading and I think that it may be a vaccuum leak. I will chase those a while.

Guys, think I found the issue. After replacing the ACT sensor - though the ACT was not throwing any codes on the KOEO test - the check engine light is off and the engine is idling better, etc..
I only took it for a short ride last night but the light stayed off.
Hopefully, that will do the trick for good. What a PITA.

cool, sounds good so far, i think you should upgrade the fuels system and ditch the fmu, the have it tuned by Lasota!!

Tim, what is required to reliably be able to ditch the FMU?
I put in a 255 LPH Walbro in-tank pump but that is it so far.

probably a 42 lb inj will let you take it off, i still run an fmu on mine to each his own .

42s and a good tune, I know that guys like Lasota will not tune your ride if you have an FMU.. Lots of guys like em and use them succesfully but its not my cup of tea..

Are the stock lines and fuel rails on the 95 enough to carry the fuel from the 255 to the 42s?

yes they are fine , 42's and the matching meter and you will be ok

Oh yeah. I know a guy making over 600 with 94-95 rails and a 255 intank. He also has a TRex but thats it. You dont really need a TRex. Thats your choice for your power level. Not needed.
