I was looking at this as an option to try and import into the states when gas was crazy expensive, but here its at/over 90 cents a liter (about $2.80 USD/gallon) so its back into consideration just to spite the oil companies:

This would be perfect for city streets or heading to the corner store for stuff. 90% of my driving is on roads with a speed limit of 90 or less and at such a cheap price, some performance mods available, fuel injection, and a range of 300km it seems like a no brainer.

Who woulda thought a 125 could look so good.

Definitely a good looking bike aside from the really small wheels and tires. Seems like a 125 would get old real fast though. The new 250 Ninjas look a lot better than they used to and would probably have a little more power. They're not fuel injected though which would be nice to have.

I was about to post the same thing but he beat me to it.

I do like the (long overdue) redesigned ninja250. The only thing I don't like about it is that its $4699 CAD. I was thinking about this as "the 2nd bike" or using this instead of a scooter or even as a fair weather commuter bike ($9.00 of fuel would last forever). They're crazy cheap to insure and if there were a crash for some reason I wouldn't feel as bad versus the big bike.

Plus there's a racing league up here that uses them. Might be fun for track days.

I don't think i could live without the raw power and feel of a sportbike.... sorry, wouldnt ride it if you gave it to me...

its a decent lookin' little guy tho....

I dont blame you at all bish. Raw power and cornering ability is extremely addictive.

The problem is my work commute or the "oh crap I forgot milk" commute doesn't give me the opportunity to really open up a sportbike and I'm too paranoid of others on the road (like the MSF says "assume they don't see you") that it would be a shame for some douche to cause a wreck on my "good" bike.

And you have to admit the fuel economy on a 125 would be amazing.

The fuel economy would be awesome. I know when I had my 250 it was getting like 60 MPG with hard riding. It was also a fun little bike. It was very nimble and you can throw it around any which way you please.

They only problem with it was that it was extremely slow compared to the other people I rode with and at times I found myself having a hard time keeping up.

But, if power isn't a huge deal to you then I say go for it. I know people with 250's and little bikes that would make people on larger bikes look ridiculous on the back roads.

Besides, Bish is only compensating for something with his big "macho" R1.
