See this is why the Pens need to make a run into the Stanley Cup finals and then it's only a short wait till Steelers goto camp and begin games.

Pirates suck and always will suck. I stopped going to any games back in '93

I'm a huge baseball fan. It has been hard to watch the Pirates often since the end of '92, with the exception of '97 and the Freak Show. Management is responsible for most of it, with awful signings like Derek Bell, stupid trades like Aramis Ramirez for a warm 6 pack of Coors Light. I do think they're starting to turn the corner. They sgned Alvarez, and as much as I hated the Bay and Nady trades, they did bring in some talent. I am not sold on management yet. It seems like they're making better decisions, like signing Maholm, McClouth, trying to sign Doumit, admitting that previous management was stupid for not drafting Wieters. These guys are going to play hard every game, I truly believe that.

That's a tuff loss, dang. I thought they weren't doin to bad thou in preseason. With 6 or 7 wins and a loss. At least thats what I heard. Let'em get it together a bit and then judge'em. They're was talk that they could have a promisin year, will see.

Im a big baseball fan and having played in college....hell i think the college team i played on had a lot more heart and wanted to win more then the pirates do and we were division 3 ball.

GO tribe....hell 2 yrs ago they were contenders and last year they dropped the ball...and i hate that they left winter haven for goodyear. ive been down for the past 4yrs to spring training and spring training is by far the best time of year for baseball...players r laid back...signing autographs...clownin around...very talkative and having fun...WHAT ITS SUPPOSE TO BE!!! then comes the regular season...n they dont do any of the basics of baseball....hardly bunt....barely any strategy as far as hit n run...the summer drags on but come the end of the season...the heats back on...you see REAL baseball with all the fixings and the fans love it....they're paid big bucks...quit FN lolly gaggin and play the game....thats y i was happy to see Bay leave pitt...he was lazy....he didnt want to be there...(not that i blame him) but for a million dollars id hustle every play and make an effort to get to a fly ball!! Pitts going in the right direction...but they are still a few years off from contending!!!

Not the way I wanted the Pirates to end the month, but at least they finish April above .500. I'd love to see them do that each month and break that sub .500 streak.
