Rims are the same size all away round, just bigger tread in the back. After the fog lights i want to go with a new gt rear bumper and a new dual exhaust system. Also looking for a chin spoiler. Then who knows after that. LOL :hyper:

Thanks, got them at TC customs on RT.51. Got them dirt cheap. Only thing wrong with them, was it had traffic paint on the tires. As you can see in the 2nd picture.

Tech question, On my way to work today my low pressure sensor came on. All the tires have 35lbs of pressure in them. Is this happening because of the tire size? Not sure how this sensor works. Can anyone give me some info?

See..im not sure how this works. I don't think the new rims would have sensors. but the light didnt come on until i was half way to work and now it just staying on. I put the air in myself on sunday. All have 35lbs.
Oh..and just a note, dont get your tire balanced at firestone in greensburg, they wanted $116.

lol come to my firestone... i hook you up. $free.99
well your tires prob dont have sensor in them so the light will always stay on unless you take the bulb out or buy new sensor from ford with the bands to hold them on so you can switch wheels back and forth without removing the sensor. thats going to be exensive. some of those sensors cost about $125 a piece. im sure if you buy 4 at one time it will be cheaper. check online before going to the dealer. the dealer will rape you.

I am proud to say thanks to Tim at Rodeheaver's Hotrod Shop, my V6 stang has a new duel exhaust system. :jump: Flowmaster 40 series. The car sounds great and I had my first young punk that wanted to race me today. Came up reving his engine. So I did the same, and with the new exhaust it sounded better then ever. Needless to say I left him looking at my tail lights!!!:sticktonge: Thanks Tim!

Nice! I'm gathering up the parts to do this hopefully next week. Got GT mid pipes and mufflers (don't want to go too loud), pick up a GT bumper tomorrow. After that I'm still not sure if I should order an x pipe and do it myself on the garage floor or just break down and have a shop do it.

Ok...just got back from Carlisle and had a few more mod's add to the stang.
First, I had them install rear window louvers and a shorty antenna. second I had them install Redline hood struts. Then I went hunting in the sea of vendors and found a emblem that is to fit a 1970 Mustang which I will modify to fit the front grille of my car. Will post that picture after I install it, but here are a few pics of the work they did at Carlisle this year. :awsome:

The louvers don't bug me, I think if you added a GT/CS rear bumper with the black splitter it would tie the louvers in real good with the chin and stock rockers.
http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k121/kooldawg6/gt500-rear.jpg
Then of course you'd need to finish your stripes all the way down, and replace the silver tail bezels with black.

I used to read a bunch of different forums dealing with the S197 V6's. Lot's of guys liked the X Charger, some were waiting for an intercooled kit - no idea if they ever made one. Others swore by Vortech. Powerhouse up in Erie did some insane turbos, I believe they got a V6 to break a 9 sec 1/4. Lots of good info on mustangcollective. I don't read many of the forums anymore, got too tired of people posting "what rims should I get" types posts. At one point I was considering a power adder, but the math just wasn't adding up for me - something along the lines of $3000-4000 to just supercharge, tack on a beefier driveshaft, better gears, etc and your up towards 5000. At that point our Pony Package is equal to the cost of GT and only as quick as a STOCK GT. Not not trying to be a debbie downer, I'm all for someone making something their own, but for me personally the money is better spent elsewhere.
The best money I've spent on this car was the aluminum driveshaft and the take off 8.8 GT rear end with 3.73's. Much better response from a dead stop, better low end acceleration and no more one wheel peels  These mods were part of the plan to before a supercharger and they stand up well enough on their own, if I do run into a windfall I know those parts can easily handle the added power. Just my .02, keep up the good work.

scorpio333, no..i get what you are saying. I think of that from time to time as well. Why dump all this money into a V6. The only thing I can say is that its what I have right now and I am trying to make the best of it.
If I am going to spend money on a new car I don't think I would go for a new GT but rather go backwards in time and buy myself a 69 Mustang Fastback. That is what I really want.
