Bo, quik is a guy that has been banned from every board in the world because of his attitude and refusal to get along with anyone. As I said and asked, if it is SO EASY to bolt together an engine with H-C-I on a stock un-flycut short block, that had not been run for 1 year, and within 2 passes lay down middle 10's, then to ALL OF YOU WITH A POWER ADDER and/or a stroker, why is it after many and many runs you do not run that quick? Why did YOU waste your money on an engine if all you needed was an OTS cam, some TFS TW heads, and a long runner restrictor plate disguised as EFI? If it is so easy, why does Tony Bischoff at BES charge almost 10k for a Pure Street SHORTBLOCK? Why are the FASTEST cars in Pure Street ALL carbureted and they have a PENALTY for the carb and EFI gets a break?

I have a lot more on this subject I can add. I am quite sure I have been down the track many more times than most here and have a "good" understanding of how to do more with less.

Its easy to set on the other end and simply believe what you are being told. Hell for YEARS in Pro-Stock no one believed that Darrel Alderman and Scott Geoffrion (Wayne County Dodge) were running NOS in Pro Stock.......Until they were caught and the "alledged" break in. I think that what you fail to understand is a pure street cars weigh 300 to 400 pounds more than his car does, they have to run a 26" tall slick, and there are some other limitations on the class cars we do not have to adhere too. Also these times were run in mine shaft conditions.
I understand you have been around racing for a long time so I cant understand why you think running these times in these conditions is so difficult.
You say that the car was slapped together and it just ran those times. That is totally untrue. the combo in this car has been evolving for years. Yes it came out and ran its best times after sitting for a year but in that year there was a little more weight taken off of the car.
With your bashing him and saying there is no way you are bashing me also because I have been there in about every step of the build on this car. That is why I posted the other thread that was closed. When I saw it it pissed me off and I wanted to vent. I did not go onto any of the national sites because I was not looking to make a big stink about it.

e.g., 126.06 / 232.3 = .5426604, take that value and cube it. Which equals .1598028 * (race weight-2835 lbs.-) = 453.04082 FWHP

Then, take that FWHP estimation and multiply it by .83, again estimating 17% loss through Tremec TKO trans. That equals 376.02388 RWHP


Less than 2 RWHP difference from that *particular* formula. Will other formulas show more of a discrepency? I'd say most likely.

5. 453.04082 / 301.5936 = 1.5021566 FWHP per cubic inch displacement.

This FWHP per cubic inch value is not out of the ordinary and can be achieved with a matched induction and peripherals.

6. An old stock eliminator formula used by the mopar guys back in the day. e.g., e.t. * mph = 1335 would be considered a perfect pass according to that formula. My numbers 126.06 * 10.592 = 1335.2275

7. Ideal e.t. formula 1353 / mph My numbers 1353 / 126.06 = 10.732984 - 10.592 = .1409843 below ideal e.t. for a given mph Another example 1353 /125.52 = 10.779159 - 10.595 = .1841587 below ideal e.t. This is one way to interpret the e.t. vs. mph package.

This is not a street car and has been revised many times and will continue to be revised in search of more efficiency. Many parts other than the engine have been analyzed and critiqued which contribute to the e.t/mph relationship.

The car has been dynoed around 25-30 times and has backed up new bests repeatedly.

My old cobra trapped 123-124 in the right lane at PRP in the fall. It made 505rwhp SAE and weighed 3850 w/ driver. Power to wt ratio of 7.624.

You posted your car weighs 2825lbs and makes 367rwhp SAE. Power to wt ratio of 7.697.

Given the DA conditions of the 126mph traps in November at a sea level track.....126mph is 100% believable IMO.

The ET describes the well thought-out susp. setup and driver ability.

For those that don't know, it was Purestocks idea for the teardown, nobody elses. He went to numerous websites and started a thread about it and said theres gonna be a teardown party, everybody bring their micrometers and beer as all facets of the engine will be measured. He came up with this on his own.

When the time approached for the date of the teardown, he didn't go to the event after he posted up about all of this and made a really big deal about it.
