piston to valve clearance

i have a 94 gt with GT40 p heads 1.6 rockers and a tfs stage 2 cam project in the works, anyone ever run this combo? i assembled one head with check springs in it and i have .164 on exhaust and .135 on the intake but this is with hyd roller lifters in place, i hear you should use a solid one to check but i can't compress the lifter at all so am i ok??????

if you have the checker springs on the valves, they will not depress the hyd. lifters, and .100 is the least i ever go..

thanks tim i can't wait to see how this thing runs with the new combo i'll post some pics up of the porting that torqueboxer and i did on my P heads
