Where can i get upper intake manifold bolts???

i need upper intake manifold bolts for a 93 cobra intake....where can i find them? anyone have any? one of mine snapped at only 10 ft lbs of torque...fu*kin cheap chinese bolts

i'm sure a kit can be had, but i found that Lowes of all places has quality machine grade hardware - even if sometimes you have to buy them by each little white bag :rolleyes: :P

because my rpms hang and my idle surges sometimes and its pissing me off greatly. lol... so i took it off to check all the vaccum fittings and i had to re-torque my lower intake bolts as well

yeah i was gonna head out to home depot and possibly lowes tomorrow but im not sure if theyll have them...those upper bolts are freaking LONG lol.

in the meantime if anyone knows of a kit or anything id like to know cause ive tried searching around on Jegs, summit, 50resto, cj pony parts, and google lol...seems like everyone and their mothers has a lower bolt kit but not upper :(

Do you have a measurement on how long it is? I think I might have one. I got a long skinny bolt in my box-o-bolts that I think is from an upper intake. If it's the right one you can have it.

thanks for your help everyone...after looking around all day at a hardware store, home depot, and lowes and seeing that no one on earth has a bolt long enough, i ordered some bolts from a ford dealer.

still surging ryan? id still half blame that on the TPS mine was doing it again, messed with the tps and fixed it the same way as before, it was super picky about where i put it at.

yeah i dunno what exactly it is. my TPS is set exactly at .98v...i re-torqued my lower intake bolts and they needed it for sure....i didnt go back and retorque them like i should of after the gaskets settled.

i also had my egr valve plugged in but i capped the vaccum line on it and under the intake. im gonna try running it with vaccum hooked up now and see how that is. im thinking maybe it was stuck open?

and i removed TAB and TAD solenoids as well so i dunno if that is causing it or what. im thinking it has to be a vacuum leak cause the rpms hang for a sec when you give it gas. ill be able to look into more things once i get these bolts.

i pulled codes but all i got were things for my TAB and TAD solenoids and other smog things that i didnt have hooked up

i know i know i just didnt check this thread again before going to the dealer, but thank you for offering!

at least i know ill have factory bolts instead of the cheap grade 2 ones i had in there before :thmbsup:

in the south hills...20 minutes from pittsburgh. i appreciate your offer to help but i think we are sorta far from eachother and i wouldnt want you driving down that far just to help me. i checked all vacuum lines when i had my upper intake off, so im 99% sure its not a vacuum leak now. after i get my bolts in ill try messin around with it again.

i think the only thing i have left that it could be would be my mass air meter. so ill try that next
