As many of you have seen and know, there has been a board members pristine 95 gt at the shop for quite some time. The owner brought the car in to have some mechanical issues fixed as well as some other upgrades. One of them was the installation of a new Vortech supercharger system that we sold him last year. Upon initial start up the supercharger lasted for approximately 10 seconds before it self destructed and sent debree into the discharge tube etc. Not a good situation and very frustrating for everyone involved, to say the least. We had to send the unit back to Vortech for inspection and it was determined that the unit was assembled incorrectly and with the wrong components. It was a very unfortunate situation but Vortech made things right and I wanted to take a minute to give them credit for standing behind their product and mistake. There are a lot of businesses in this industry that lack integrity and will turn their back on you in a heartbeat, it was a relief that Vortech doesn't fall in this category and did what was necessary to rectify the problem. As many of you know, my shop is small and I do the majority of the work performed, the last thing I can afford is to shell our thousands of dollars for someone else's mistake or problem. We were able to get the car up and running for this weekends tuning event and all is well!

I just wanted to thank Vortech for making things right and standing behind their distributors/installers! I also want to publicly thank my customer for his patients and understanding. We ran into many problem along the way and he was overwhelmingly positive, understanding and patient throughout! I cant stress enough how much that made this process easier and I am very grateful!

Cool, Good thing it was installed at your shop. I wonder how much grief they would have givin him if he did the install at home?

I honestly don't remember, I am still so damn tired from my buddy's wedding on Friday and the 12 hour tuning day Saturday:hyper:

Absolutely! I did the upper and lower intake, all the cylinders and removed the oil pan which was leaking anyways. I had all the propeller fins that had broken off and after scoping everything out, I saw no reason to go any further...thank GOD!!!

I also want to thank Mike for dealing with this screwed up situation. After this happened he couldn"t of been more professional. Mike never once tried to nicke and dime me. I know he put alot more time in that he wasn't expecting due to unforeseen circumstances. I just want everybody to know Mike runs a first class operation and actually cares about his customers. Anybody that needs work done should give him a call. I'll be posting pictures later this week when i finally pick my car up. I'm sure Mike is tired of looking at it.
