Well I managed to snap off a rusty leaf spring shackle last week so I had the great idea to get a jump on things and get my truck apart to make the installation go faster. hahaha I took both sides apart but the bolts were rusted, what a PITA! I got them out and everything cleaned up after fighting with everything for a few hours. Then today my parts showed up so I started installing everything but stopped and scratched my head thinking "oh damn what part is the driver’s side and what is the passenger’s side". So I got the smart I idea to look at my dads truck to figure it out. (Dakota RT) The install went fine and I should have known something was wrong because of it. lol Shortly after finishing up and getting every thing cleaned up I took a peak at an F150 online and it looks like I put the shackles on backwards. (Solid side facing the rear.) Yep I am kicking myself right now! Not only did I screw up but I undercoated the mounts after cleaning all the rust up 100% so its going to be fun taking everything back apart. So my question is... what is this hurting? What exactly did it change in the geometry? In all honesty everything has more clearance this way! Ah hell I guess I will pull it back apart tomorrow.

BTW It is a 98 4.6 4x4 XLT reg cab stepside bed if that matters.

Dont you hate when you get everything together and then find out its backwards. I will take a look at mine and see what it looks like, although it sounds like you already know its backwards. I would probably switch it then. By the way...I have been waiting to see that mustang of yours drive around butler. Still havent.

Oh I am 110% sure its wrong. Its to bad it didnt hit me until I was in the shower. lol I wouldn't care or even posted this but that undercoating is the thing I dont want to mess with. Its going to be a big mess.

The Cobra has been down for a KB swap and since Lethal is such a nice company, they thought they would help me out and wire my dual FPDM kit so that one fuel pump was running backwards. Needless to say I couldnt get the car tuned running like that. The new parts should be here today and that is why I got in a hurry and screwed the truck up. Besides that i was working in the dark with a flash light. lol The car should be tuned and ready to kick butt next week some time. I just have to connect 6 wires and get Mike at Wolfpack to check Jon Lund's tune on the dyno. Then she is ready to go kick some Butler redneck pickup truck butt.

I am not sure whats up with everything being backwards lately. :rotflol:

That sucks. Only a few nice days left this summer (avg=about 4). Better hurry it up and get the car on the street. Let me know if you hear of anything going on in the area.

Well the truck issue has been corrected. I think I complained about it more today then it took to fix. I am just glad I used all new bolts. lol

The new MDM jr is here so the Cobra should be finished either tomorrow or some time this weekend. I still need to get the laptop talking to the SCT X3 so I can verify that the fuel pump duty cycles are correct this time around. 80% duty cycles at idle was a bit much last time.

Hey, that wasn't you I saw about 6:45 this morning coming down Rt 8. Red truck, looked like it had side exit exhaust. I think it looked slightly lifted If my memory serves me right. I dont know, just thought maybe it was.

That sounds like my truck. It has the side exit borla system with the square tips on it. It is dirty as hell from sitting too. lol Where did you see me at? If you were in you 07 I missed you and have no idea how.

I saw a white 03 Cobra with chrome cobra wheels and a red with a white convertable top 01-02 WS6 TA that turned onto the turn pike either this morning or yesterday morning.
