Hey the names Colton and i live in youngwood, pa. I have a 96 GT convertable with a few upgrades:
- bbk cold air
- professional products throttle body
- professional products throttle intake
- flowmaster 40s
- american muscle 18x9s and 18x10s with 235/40/18 in front and 295/35/18 in the rear
I was looking to upgrade some other stuff like cams. I want a noticeably rough idle and lots of torque. Also a good fuel pump and injector combo. Any suggestions for this or any other mods i shud get?

If you are looking to upgrade to bigger cams I would also look into replacing the restrictive non-pi heads and intake that you have or cams are pointless. PI heads and intake from the 99-up 2 valve motors are an economical way to do this. Also a set of long-tube headers would be a wise investment.

welcome, and a PI swap should be first on your list.. I would do the cams at the same time as the PI swap if it were me..

X4! Pi heads are the way to go! I would also go with long tubes. You will gain a lot from that combo

welcome. it wont gain ya any horsepower but it will feel like it has alot more torque by adding 4.10 or lower gears. :3gears:

Its a head swap so its kinda difficult if you know nothing about car/motors but if you know how it works then its not bad. Just gotta make sure timing and everything is torqued right

Welcome.
I hate to shatter your dreams, but just drive the car like it is and enjoy it. Save your money and trade/buy something else if you want something fast.
I had a '97 and I went through all this. When I was done, I had way too much invested in it and it made 246 RWHP.
I could have bought 1 1/2 99-04 Mustang GTs with the same amount of money or like I said above something fast.
The PI swap will definitely pick up 30 or so HP from 4,000 to 6,000 RPM, but it's not really a night and day kinda thing. You won't think, "Holy cows, this is a different car. I AM SO HAPPY!"
NOW, if you like the way the car looks and sounds and you like Mustangs, then, by all means drive it and be proud.
If you want to spend thousands of dollars on parts and labor to have something semi-competitive, then by all means do that, too.
