I had a hell of a time selling my Sportster (2004, new style rubber mounted engine 883 with 900 miles, extra chrome and mufflers) I ended up selling it for $4,800. Your 1200 helps the value and demand but the market is saturated with Sportster's!

I agree the market is full of sporty's right now and it's a tough sell. However the 2 best deals i have seen lately was mr4teth's 04 for $4800 and i found an 03 883r last fall with 8000 miles on for $3500. i'd have a hard time speding more than $4k for one that old and that kind of mileage.
