Anyone know of a forumla to ballpark boost numbers with pulley diameters for a Vortech V2 S-trim? Got a 6.87" crank pulley and a 3.47" S/C pulley on a 302.

not real sure Ed, that sounds like a low boost configuration to me, i think the stock crank pulley for that kit is a 6" and a 3.33 blower pulley and they only make 8-10lbs usually.. And I cant remember were to find a calculator!?!?

Yep, Vortech just confirmed on the phone that the base kit has a 6.87 Crank and a 3.33 S/C pulley. I need to figure out what combo will put it around 14-16 psi on a 302 w/ H/C/I.

made 15-16 with a 2.96/6.87 and powerpipe
That combo will give you about 7 or 8 psi. Get a 2.90. That will get you closer to 14. Or get an 8" lower from ASP (arts parts)

Natural aspiration is like Viagra, it's for those who can't get it up UN-naturally:greedy:

All combos are different. Just goes to show how better heads will do. Boost is "restriction" basically. With my 6.87 and 2.90 I am only seeing 13.?. Its all different. Mind you, my intake is ported and the heads mate to a 1262 gasket. Its all different.

"Boost" is a measurement of backpressure.
