Since some of you guys frequent TurboFord, I might as well roll this out here too ;) I've kind of gone as far as I want to go with the Capri, so this is the next project ...

street car or all out drag car?
The thought is to be more drag oriented, but still be able to drive it to/from the track, and whatever. I've wanted to do a back half car for a while.

It seems you didn't notice what section this is in :D
Likely to be a 2.3, blow through carb set-up. I have wanted to do a 4.6 carbed DOHC combo but this just isnt the right car for that. This wont be a quick project unless i hit the lottery.
INSANELY CRAZY

Go with the 2.3 carb setup, not a fan of 4.6's, a 5.4 carb be alright though.
Anyhow, cool project Bob:thumbsup:

I noticed, just suggesting two 2.3Ts :sticktonge:
I like the drag wagon idea, keepin' the stick?

Ok that will make for a different and cool ride. Thing looks to be in suprisingly good shape.

Funny, that's where the turbo will likely come from :D Thinking HX40

As Don said, it would be a nightmare fit either way. I'm pretty well invested in the 2.3 stuff to stop now ;)

I get it now  Actually this all started because this car has a C4 with the bellhousing needed to mate up to a 2.3 (hard to find).
Thing looks to be in suprisingly good shape.
It's a New Mexico car. What you can see is just surface stuff from sitting out for several years. Car is rock solid underneath.

Wagons FTW!! That's way cool Bob!
And man, that Matador wagon is sweet! I'm glad I can't afford it, or I'd be bumming parts off of my AMC friends to make it street/strip. :D

Theres a guy I used to know up in Erie with a Pinto wagon and 2.3 turbo setup backed by a 5spd...said it was his favorite ride he had out of 17 tbirds (most running) and countless mustangs......yes these were all at once....he had like 50+ cars in storage or somehting like that. Cant recall his name or I'd hook ya up with him but I do know he cruised Presque Isle all the time.
