Just wondering if anyone on here rides motorcycles in the summer time ? I have a vintage honda scrambler, and I am bound and determined to buy a 98 CBR 600 F3 Smokin Joes edition this year. Anyone else? (pics are never a bad thing either)

Dont waste your money with the F3. They are pieces of shit. Get a GSX-R. I just sold my GSX-R1000. I had a '98 F3. It was the most gutless POS on the road. Too small too.

I ride a good bit in the summer. I usually ride with a few friends. We like to take country roads with alot of bends. I have a 2002 CBR 954rr. It has some balls. Stock it ran 10.40's @ 136 and that was on the back tire half way. I am looking for a 2005 CBR 1000.

2000 TL 1000R - I absolutely love it! Wouldnt get rid of it for anything... however, within the next year or so i'll probably be lookin to add a new R1 to my stable... i put lots of miles on my TL-R, and its startin to get up there!

Some very nice lookin bikes guys! While I'm not really a fan of gixxers, I can see where people would like them. They have a great top end and plenty of power.. But I'm partial to honda.. haha They are a bit slow from the factory I'll give you that.. escpecially compared to todays fuel injected 600's puttin down 115hp's to the back wheel stock.. but I dont mind throwing on a full exhaust a jet kit and some cams to hang.. I like the f3 SJ edition because they're not too common. I like to have toys that not too many other people do. Considering they only made 500 of them in 98 and only produced them in 96 and 98, chances are I wont run into 16 of them at the local bike night lol. Once I get used to it, I'll probally end up with one of the new 07 cbr's or perhaps an R6, but for now, I'll stick with my F3 lol.

Sonofabish, that bike is badass! Wish I could afford one. Hmmmmmm, I wonder if that gold river still runs under ViperEd's house in the winter???

very nice wick! I love chrome on the bikes, and decided to go the "poor man's chrome" route... lol... i've polished everything, and when its clean, it looks spectacular! but damn, i regret it... the polished gets dirty just tooooooo easy, particularly on the wheels...
Mike,
I feel ya there... that's one thing about the TL-R - uniqueness... i've actually only ever seen 1 other one in person, and it was a yellow/black one... They didnt have a limited production, but they're not near as common as gixxers... though, most ppl think it is a gixxer until they see the dual pipes... then they wonder wtf it is.... but everytiem i go riding and end up on the south side with a group of guys, my bike always seems to attract the most attention!

It was all polish!!!!!!! I spent about a month sanding my ass off to get it like that. I went as far as 2000 grit paper. Quickie saw it last summer when I still had it. I do miss it for sure.

Quik, that is one mean lookin RR. I have to admit.. it makes me think dirty thoughts lol. Kinda reminds me of my buddies 636 Ninja.
Glad im on the same page with someone on the unique factor. Sonofabish, you're right, I never see that many tl-r's around.. however i see a TON of R-1's and busa's .. while they might be faster.. I would still rather be sporting something thats just a little different. But I cant lie.. I like being fast too haha.. Maybe I could shoe-horn a 954RR motor into that F3 frame... hmmmm.

actually if you find a hornet 918 motor which is nothing more then a older 900rr motor will bolt in place of the 600 motor. there is some fab work but ppl have done it...when i had my f3s i thought of it
