New Member 97 Cobra

Hey all,

Not currently in the area, but the car is in Washington County at my parents house. i am in the Navy stationed in Japan and floating somewhere in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Got a 97 Cobra with 115k miles, but runs beautifully. has the basic bolt-ons and makes me smile every day. hope you guys can teach me a lot.

thank you all. since you are willing to help spend my money, i am looking into buying a driveline with all FRPP parts. Billett steel flywheel, King Cobra clutch, alum driveshaft, and i have 3.73's new in the box, but i wanna upgrade to 4.10's i think. does this sound like a good combo? from what i hear, you cannot go wrong using Ford, and from what i have seen i agree. also gonna get a steeda shifter.

you may wanna do some more research on the gears. if you're going to stay N/A with the 4V, 4.30s might be the way to go? is this a daily driver or a weekend toy?

4.30's are a really steep gear. I'd go 4.10 at the most for a daily driver.

Had 4.30's in my 98 cobra when it was n/a and I would NEVER go with any other gear with a bolt on car other than 4.56's. Don't fear the gear with the 4valve, it needs it.
