Here is 130 pages of cars turned in for Cash for Clunkers.

http://www.cars.gov/files/official-information/trade-in-vehicles.pdf

You don't have to go much past the first page under ASC (American Sunroof Company) to find a GNX and 10 "unlisted". Those are most likely Capris / Mustangs or other Buicks of the like.

Also lost 11 Capri's

I just threw up.

"As submitted, not necessarily reviewed or approved"

Lots of guys did certain specialty car submissions just to see if they got approved. Some guys have a sick sense of humor, I guess..

I can't even stand the thoughts of a GNX being a clunker. It brings a tear to my eye.

Example: Married couple gets divorced, wife ends up getting the car in the divorce. She trashes it to get even with the husband and then trades it in to get a new Hundia, Kia, or some other P.O.S......Hense Cash For Clunkers....Hense ignorant b*tch

Bet this list is a hoax. Not saying there wasn't some crazy stuff traded in but this list seems far fetched.

Bet this list is a hoax

The list is real but I think Mark nailed it. This doesnt mean the car's were actually approved for the program, just that someone entered them in the system. There are several cars on the list that did not qualify based on the economy ratings even if more pedestrain models.

I think some bored salesman where plugging stuff in to see what stuck :D

up at secrest u-pull it in dawson they have alot of clunkers in there now for parts. the front widsheild is marked CFC (cash for clunkers) and when you open the hoods there is a white sticker ontop the motor saying that there was liquid glass poured threw the engine.

i work at a ford store, and an example would be on the 2003 and 2004 mustangs it says there were only like 10 or so traded in, those had to be cobra's, they were the only mustangs that year that qualified. i put my 2003 msutang in the system even if it wasnt worth anything and i would have got the money the combined mileage on it was to high to qualify. it had to be 18 or less. and you would be surprised at some of the things that did qualify. we traded a 2006 f-150 that qualified and it got 3500 from the government, if he would have traded it in it was only worth 1500> it was beat. some of these cars if they were approved by the governmetn would have had to have been BEAT! just like the beauty of a truck we took. over all our store had 51 clunkers traded in and its a shame that some of them were.

I would like to see what one of those engines looks like inside. see exactly what the solution does to the motor.

I was there one day last week. I couldn't believe how nice some of the so called clunkers where, I'd have never traded some of them in. Did you see the Jeep Comanchee pickup? When I was there someone had taken the carpet and put the seat in the bed and the rear glass was busted, other than that the truck was perfect, no rust anywhere, even the wheels where in excelent condition! The truck had to have been garage kept since new! There was a 97 T-Bird there as well that looked pretty good. I could see if they where really beat up cars, but alot of them where nice before they seized the engines.

You watch now. Since they were entered into the "system" the government will find another way to get those cars off the road as well. Be it be force or bribe. They will sooner or later dissapear.

It's frickin pathetic to see the alot of the vehicles that were trashed. I'm with Lou and a few others. I wouldn't care if it didn't have a drivetrain a GNX is worth more than the clunker program. I see it as a total b.s. program and a shit way to spend goverment money. Also, what about all those newly financed cars that got the credit who really can't afford what they bought and will have that repo'd and now won't even have a "clunker" to drive.

In the end it all comes down to the fact that people need to be smart enough to think for themselves. If people are too stupid to know if the vehicle they are driving is worth more than the program gives them, they deserve to be ripped off.

As far as people getting credit approvals with sub-par credit, the have tightened up the requirements so that those folks cannot be approved as easily.

we seized 84 cars trucks and suvs the stuff turns back to a solid glass like compound when it cools. most of the cars were crap but there were alot of 5.0 fords 5.0 chevys 5.7 chevys 5.2-5.9 dodges 4.7-5.9 jeeps and a few northstar caddies .

AS far as the people with bad credit buying the cars. most of the people that bought themfrom out store had excellent credit and wont have a problem paying for them. The average term for a loan on a new car from the program was only 48 months and the average payment was 300 a month. To be honest the cars traded in were second or third vehicles that people didnt drive or used as work cars
