Anyone know what happens when your license is suspended - do you need to hand over your actual license? If so, wondering what you gotta do for a picture ID.

Yup gotta send it in. You'll need to get just a picture id through the state if you still wanna go to bars etc. Buddy of mine lost his for a year. Had to send it in, then it was a pain to get it back (paperwork).

The time doesn't start until they get it either.

Go to your state rep. It will start almost instantly. Its not a problem getting it back either.

make sure you get it back on time it took me about 4 weeks to get mine back after suspension was up!!!

I know a guy who lost his for 14 months. At month 11 he figured out that his time had not started as his lawer never sent his license in.

Thanks guys. Not my license, my gf's she's worried because she needs to fly for work. A friend of mine just got his back after 15 YEARS...long story but they were kind enough to include 5 points on it as a welcome back gift.

hahaha i got mine back with 5 also. currently I have 2??? not a 100% its either 2 or none!!! its been awhile since i had any major issues thank god! at the time i lost mine i had 8 or 9 and then got pulled over for 90 in a 50 and that was it for me:rofl:

Not sure if its legal, but I once was breathalyzed twice in the same stop?!? Passed both. Good for you bud!
