I have the cooper discoverys on my truck, and my cousin has those nittos in the link. He seems to like them on his truck, but they are on the summer wheel sna dhe does not use them in the winter. I like my Coopers and when they were brand new last winter, I dont think they lasted all that long though- at least the rears didnt... other than that, they were fine. I too am going to need to get some new tires before winter.

I really liked the kumho's on my old truck...got great traction n the wet and snow and didnt hummmm to much down the road...they were an all around good tire for a descent price...i think $135 a tire....but i gotta get diff tires for my 07. it came with the 20in rims with pirelli scorpion tires n we got a lil bit of wet snow 2 wks ago and it was like drivin the mustang, it was horrible...so now i gotta find a good winter set.

Mickey thompson MTZ radials at National Tire and wheel.265X70R17E (31X10.50R17)MTMTZ $230.09
Those are the brand I run. Other then the rears getting chewed up by some heavy footed driver, the fronts are almost like new after 8k on them and alot of weight on them. They don't hum real bad least your size would prolly be quieter then my 38/15.50's. I have had them in soft fields and some mud they can grab with lil effort. Rain isn't an issue except mine being so wide lol big puddles catch your attention. Asked about them on the diesel boards and people have been getting good mileage out of them judging by my front tires I would say they are correct.

Funny you should ask Scott. I was looking at those. My truck is in need of new rubber and I think the Nittos are the ones I'm gonna get. They look pretty aggresive and got good reviews.

Friend of mine had nittos on his 06 dodge and they wore real fast. I have Firestone Destination MT's on my truck now,and cant be happier.

I just took those same Coopers off my truck, nice tires but they were shot. I have 600 miles of transporting to do tomorrow for a customer and was in a pinch for tires quick. Got these Hankook Dynapro ATM's from PepBoys...mounted, balanced, road hazard, free rotation and rebalance for less then $900 out the door. Nothing online could compete, little bit of vibe and shimmy since the new tires but seems to be clearing up, other then that so far so good...

I have the nitto grapplers on my truck and they ride smooth and hookup great in all weather. This will be my second winter on them.

Scott, the best local place for tires around is The Tire Shop in Portage. Call and ask to speak to Tim. He is the only person I trust to touch my wheels and his prices are great. Every car guy I know now goes to him.
