backspacing on a fox

I'm buying a 90' coupe and need to know the proper backspacing for a 10" rear wheel and what size tire is the most I can run. It already has 3.5x15 with a 165 tire on the front. He had 10's on the rear but his backspacing wasn't right and the tire scrubbed the fender when he took off. I want the fender to go over the tire so it can squat as much as possible during launch. Thanks

I would check to see how close it is to the inner fender first because you might not have enough room for more back spacing. You might want to change the tire size or roll the lip to make more room.

:iagree: I had issues with an 8 inch wheel and slicks and my lips are rolled and I massaged (beat with hammer)my inner fender.

A 15x10 with 6.5" of back-spacing will work. A 28x10.5x15 is about the biggest you can fit under an oem foxbody. Rolling the fender lip and modifying the inner fender with a small sledge will create enough clearance.

I have a fender lip roller than I am renting out to SCS members. The tool is from The Eastwood Company and it does a nice job.
